i have the eflite blade cx-2 with the spectrum radio....
i want to use the spectrum on my helimax axe cp... is it possible to do???
my LHS told me it wasnt, that i had to get a new radio and shit...
but i took the spectrum apart and i looked at the transmitter, it has labels for the dip switchs that explain the possibility that i might be able to use it,

im jus wonderin if anyone has tried, or has some insight to it...
thanks..
Nicholas

I can't really think of a reason it wouldn't work, its DSM2, so any of the 6100 series of receivers should work. In fact E-Flite has the new CX2's using 6100E receivers with the stock transmitter, so Yes it should work.

Now that I give it a bit more thought, its going to be very hard to make it work. The radio is what does all the mixing, with the cx2 its just a single servo mix, the Axe Cp requires eCCPM to work correctly. It may be possible, but the stock cx2 transmitter is also only 5 channels, which means in any case you won't be able to have a gyro with remote gain. It would probably take more resources to make it work than just going out and buying a DX6i radio new for $180. Or ebaying a used DX6 for $75.

You wont be able to use the CX transmitter. But if you get a Dx6 or dx6i. and all that you would need besides that, is a 3in1 from a blade cppro. And it will work just fine.
