View Full Version : FMA Tech service stinks

I bought the cell pro 4s and there adaptor which was for the Thunder Power and QT brand. Now I am using the Flight power evo light Lipo bat which I was told would work on the Thunder power board which it seem to except I get the error light on the Adaptor board. Seems to charge ok though. Wish they had made one for the flight power brand.
Now here is the problem with FMA tech I asked them in an email sent to the Tech e-mail explaining the above problem more that two weeks ago and no answer at all from them guess I bought my last thing from them No Service after the sale. I will not deal with someone who won't answer your question after I buy from them..

Hmm, they are a small company, maybe most of the staff took some time off for the holidays? You know, over the last two weeks there was Christmas and New Years? And many people go to visit family during those times.
Did you try CALLING them? Emails do get lost in transit. I have had super support from them by picking up the phone and calling.
And Flight Power and Thunder Power use the same blancer plug, wired the same way.

Same here, I have had good support from them.
I do remember that FP had added an extra wire that was causing that light to turn on. This was on the 4s batteries. Since you didn't mention how many cells your battery has, this maybe an option if it is a 4 cell battery pack. Here's a link that explains how to solve this problem:

Yes my evo light is a 4s 5350 Good information thanks. Zigiman Now why would FMA have a e-mail Tech if they don't answer them.
Yes I could have called FMA but if you don't want to answer e-mails don't provide an address.
Now here is the big question?
What does Flight power use the last red wire for and if I disconnect it what will happen? If nothing why put it there? Anyway this is the information I was looking for. And the battery does charge just fine except for the light.. Thanks AGAIN ZIGIMAN great information.....My FMA 4s is new about 2 months old....

The only explanation as to why you haven't gotten a response from them is it could be it was over the holiday season, they are ramping up for the release of the Cellpro 10s or the e-mail just got lost. I know in the past when they were having e-mail issues, they were answering from a different e-mail address that wasn't FMA. The only reason I suspected it was them before I openned the e-mail was it matched my subject line word for word and capitalization. Now, I don't know if they are but, if they are, did you receive such a mysterious e-mail with a familiar subject line?
I'm an not sure what FP uses that wire for or why. Everything that I read on the subject seems to be that the wire is not needed and that no one has had any issues with the wire disconnected. They only started adding this extra wire last year (2007) or late the year before (2006).

Yeah, mine light up as well on 4S, and I've read elsewhere that it is just as stated. It's just my late Christmas lights still up ;)
I've had great service from them myself. Frankly, none of the companies I've dealt with have really speedy email responses, so if I don't get a quick answer that way, and it's important, I call them. There's always the possibility of a lost email, or a spam filter that doesn't like you.
Besides that, the Cellpro is easily the best charger I've got...

The reason you did not get a reply is my mother passed away just before Christmas and I have been out of the office until Wednesday of last week. I have been in the process of catching up on emails and phone calls. I am sorry for the delay.

Sorry for your loss, I've been thru that as well. I received my Cellpro 4S last week and it is Great! Thank You!
