two weeks to learn how to fly before shooting day

There are a few spots that in Brooklyn that you can fly. There's a dedicated heli field, I don't know the address, but I know how to get there and a large ball park in Dyker Height that you can fly in the morning when there's no people around. Where do you live?

thats funny, I live like ten blocks from Dyker Height ))) and never know it's exists

I search a lot and know how to setup AP2k, but still cant find info where this thing works? Does it works right from ground level or I have to turn it on up in the sky and of before landing?
I tried it at 2 meters at flat airfield and it was like trainer for recovery (that's also great), what's wrong?
