hdx 500 new gear and frames

when do we get the new maingear for this heli. It will open it's potential if we can get the larger maingear and new frame sides.

The frames are in testing now new prototype 130t main gears are in the hands of the USPS enroute to me hope to have saturday and test fly on sunday I will post info when I have it.
I have plenty of 6s packs and motors to try :D

I've already got the v2 head installed on mine. with the new tail gear and carbon fiber boom. now I just need that bigger gear and new frame sides. and I'd be happy as nerd at a science fair.

Any news yet on the new 130T gear ?
Can the current 3DX500 SAH frame be changed to fit this gear ? Ream out with a dremel ? Or will this weaken the frame too much ?

From what I currently understand, you would need the new frame set to make it a clean install. I think that after making the main gear pocket larger to accomodate the new MG, the motormount needed some work as well.

Could you mod the original frameset, probably. The new frames are probably going to be cheaper than the value of your time modding what you have now.

I talked to Charlie today, my kit will be on it way this week. I will put together a build thread, and possible do some video work to help out with questions about the kit. I am very excited about the new stuff coming from Charlie at Rotorworkz and the HD team.

I am also planning to do some interesting videos. So stay tuned. Exciting times ahead for sure!

all they have to do is add it to the site and i will buy. I have the trex 500 and the hdx 500 and if we can get the 6s capability for this heli you will sell bunches I just want the new frame sides and a couple gears and i'm good

How much was the Trex500 ? Is it true you can only use align motor ?

Dave. right now I'm not experimenting with it working on the hdx 500
but from my observation the scorpion motors will fit motor mount may have to be modded a little but I bet I can get one in there. as soon as the new scorpions are availabl;e I'll be putting one in the t-500 and the hdx500
it was 500 big one's for the t-500 dave I know but i bought 2 heli's in december and the t-500 in january.
the way I look at it you only live once and life is short if you enjoy it go for it.
as you can tell I enjoy the Hell out of my Heli's

I agree completely man !! Enjoy it while you can cause there ain't no guarantied life time warranty available to us ! :) When it was all said and done, my SAH costs $533 and the 4S 4000 was another $160 :eek:
So...gotta pay to play :D
