Phoenix & DX7

In Phoenix setup, there is an option to use DX7 or DX7(25% expo). What is the difference in these settings and which one sould I use.

The 25% expo version has 25% expo dialed in. Expo modifies the servo response to stick motion curve to soften the response near center stick. It makes the heli feel less twitchy and easier to fly.

I prefer to use their no expo setup and then dial in expo at the transmitter to my liking. I prefer about 30% expo.

Just to expand upon what Pinecone said, it's also best to set up the sim with linear throttle and pitch curves and then set up the desired curves in the radio. That way, you get to take advantage of the DX7's flight mode switch to switch between modes.

You can get there in most cases by selecting the "3D" variant when you select the aircraft.
