Is anyone making carbon blades for the 200? I'm concerned with the number of reports of the wood blades failing.

You need to soak the wood blade ends in thin CA to strengthen them. The tiny version of epoxying the rip reinforcements on.

Pinecone,
When you do this, how far up from the blade root do you go? And, do you leave the plastic covering on, or do you sand or shave it off so the CA penetrates the wood? Also, I have glued the washer to the blade root as well to provide additional support, do you think this is necessary?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

On my EP-100 blade the very tip of the root was bare, so it soaked in both there and the hole. You want it mainly between the hole and the end of the blade.
Gluing the washer on is fine, as long as you have more washers. :)
