I have Reflex XTR and for some reason everytime I crash I have to wait about 1 minute for the sim to reset and give me a nice new heli. I am running a Pentium Dual Core with 2Gbyte of memory so think the machine can't be the problems. Is this wait concidered long. To be honest it's getting on my nerves as I am trying some new tricks and the wait between crashes is longer than the flight times.

I have appied the latest patches to no avail.

Any ideas? or is this normal.

Cheers

Hi Barry Mine takes a while to reset but I'm running a dog slow PC a smokin spec like yours should only take seconds.

I dont know if you know this but have a look in the "simulation parameters" just press F6 and look under the general tab and see what "Delay time from crash to restart" this should be a couple of seconds perhaps yours has 60 secs here ??. Hope this helps.

Cheers

I have the SAME problem.

I noticed it happens if the heli does not go through full crash animation.

It basically freezes at the last frame before you'd expect crash animation such as rolling over, blades vanishing etc.

I have to wait 10+ seconds for a scene reset and cpu goes to 100% and the machine is unusable.

Emailed the NJ distributors about this today and he wasn't helpful blaming my video card immediately. It isn't the video, it is more than powerful enough and the key to me is this hang doesnt always happen: sometimes I crash the model and everything animates and the scene reset is very fast just as it should be. If it was a hardware issue with reloading textures or something, it would happen each and every time. (as to why it needs to do any heavy lifting after a crash is beyond me anyway).

Pretty unhappy so far with this problem, it makes it very annoying to play, and very glad to see it reported by someone else.

I also could not get any of the switches on my dx6i to be recognized, so basically i'm playing with 4 channels. No throttle hold or idle-up ability..

At this point I'm wishing i bought a different sim :(

Guys It maybe worth downloading the latest Video Card drivers and also DirectX from the Microsoft site. This maybe a graphics issue ?

DirectX 9.0c, which comes on the cd anyway, and current drivers here.
