My biggest problem with Li-Po packs aint the price, the fact that they can be damaged during a bad crash or or the fact that you cant run them past 80% without risking damage to the cells. All of these are fine with my, but my problem is with storage. I live in cold and windy norway, and especially during winter the days for flying are few and fare appart. So the problem is, I kinda have to take 1 day at a time and see what the weathergods will bring me. Problem is, waking up at 10:00 in the morning to discover a clear and beatyfull day, I then have to run down the basement and start charing 5 3S packs for the Trex450, and another 7! 6S packs for my 600E. By the time they are fully charged and ready to go, it's dark outside (gets dark around 16:00). So now the packs are fully charged, and all I can do is to pray for another beatyfull day again during the weekend within the next 2 weeks, or I have to use the chargers to discharge the packs again...

with the 3S pack I dont really care, if they get damaged during storage so be it, I can afford new onces. But the 7 6S packs gonna cost me an arm and a leg to replace, so im not willing to gamble on it.

King Power has been hyped about as a good solution for those who needs a pack that can handle more punishment, been drained all the way down to 95% was it? But how are they for storage fully charged? Can one expect the same lose of capacity over time as one can with the other brands? Any other good solution to my dilema? And please please dont say nitro, I cant be arsed with the full, tuning of engine for cold or wet or hot or dry clima etc even tho I see the advantage it would give me during wintertime. Summer is much better tho, as theres light untill 23:00 atleast, and days for flying are much much closer.

You don't have weather forecasters in Norway?

If I think the weather will be nice, I charge up some packs. If I don't fly them that day, as long as I fly them within 2 weeks or so, I am happy.

If I think I won't fly for longer, I discharge the packs.

Also you can field charge, so you can get out and start flying faster. Get more chargers, so you can charge more packs at a time. Get a nitro heli. :)

weather forecasters in norway are wrong 9 times out of 10 if it looks to be sunny!
But no worriers, im gonna move about some furniture in the livingroom today and discharge them in a way that will get me on Youtube for sure :)

I know exactly what you mean...
My country is pretty close to Norway, and maybe just as big or smaller as Maryland btw ;)....
The weather can be very unpredictable over here (northsea, open without mountains).
I can have a completely sunny day and just 40 Km away it can be windy with rain all day...
Weather forecasters over here always start telling what kind of weather we had today with nice graphics and stuff, as if i didn't notice...and than they shortly try to predict the weather for the next day...
I just charge afterwards and discharge them when it takes longer than two weeks...

MORE CHARGERS. :)

Get a few CellPros and charge all your packs in 1 hour.

I had the same thing today. Didn't realize how nice it was going to be. So no packs charged. By the time I figured I would think about flying, by the time I got home nad packs charged and to the flying field, it would be dark.
