ive just purchased a 11v 2200ma lipo strange thing is it charges in about 30 minutes whereas my 1200ma takes 2 1/2 hours is this possible or have i just bought a bad battery?

Was that the first charge? They come partially charged so the first won't take that long.

also depends (obviously) how far you've discharged the old pack. the first five or so cycles on the new pack try to only discharge it 50% or less ideally. then it's broken in and ready to be 80% discharged.
