Hello and oooops

Hello everyone,

First off thank you all for the information on this site. It has helped me immensly in getting my trex off the ground. However today I got a little to....ummm...cocky I guess would be the word and tried going a little higher and farther than I have gone yet and something broke at about 50 ft in the air. Not sure what cause when it hit the ground everthing shattered. So it is time for a complete overhaul which I don't mind, rather enjoy....just frustrating to have to do it. The moral of this story is, don't get to cocky cause it can get very expensive!!

Anyway hello to all and thanks again!! With out this site I wouldn't be able to begin to fly...especially with no club in the area!!!

It doesn't sound like you were doing anything very risky, so I suspect you didn't get something secured (e.g. thread-locked). The altitude you were flying is not really a factor. Besides, I've found that crashes from lower altitudes typically do more damage than those from higher altitudes.
