I would swear by Heli Direct. I do 90% of my business with them and have always gotten quicker deliveries then from anyone else, including readiheli.
They have great phone support and stock a lot of stuff for heli fanatics like ourselves.

I placed an order for over $1200.00 worth of gear with Helidirect which their website said was in stock, it proved that one item wasn't as it went out the door just as I placed my order.
They notified me immediately and offered to send what they did have now and the rest later at no extra shipping. I phoned them and was treated with respect and courtesy.
The backordered item is now on its way.
Customer service in MHO is first rate.

Greg, I wonder if there is an answer to my problems trying to use their website?
Pages won't load, even after refreshing, and my browser times out partway through ordering process. I have been 2 days, on and off, trying to complete an order transaction!
I can operate fine on other websites during the same period, so it is not my system or technique.

They did similar for me on a $145 order - sent me the metal inserts and set screws that retain the flybar in the paddles , immediately by speed post , free of charge , all the way to South Africa (no, Zimbabwe is not part of SA ! ) :noteworthy

I have had great luck with HD. Orders have always shipped immediately and inquiries generally responded to in a timely manner. In fact, working with Larry at HD right now to figure out what to do with a puffed battery and he seems interested in finding a resolution. I will def order from HD again. Particularly like the CF blades they have - I don't think anything comes close for the price.

'arry 'eadspeed...sorry about taking so long to respond...I have been out of the office the past few days...actually still am out of the office as I am down in Huntsville, AL for their annual Funfly...
anyway...we have had some issues with the firewall being "too" strict...I have been locked out of the entire system twice this week...only for a short time as I am able to get ahold of the webmaster and get him to unblock my IP address...I think sometimes I get blocked as I have 10 or 12 Helidirect pages open at one time...
If you get blocked out and can't get on...if you go to http://whatismyip.com/ and let me know your IP address I can see if you are being blocked or not...
Sorry for any inconvenience you might have had accessing our website...

I was able to get on initially ... it was subsequent navigation of the site that was so troublesome.
I will PM you my IP address anyway.

Just wanted to follow-up briefly and note that my battery issue was handled in a way I felt was above and beyond what was necessary (thanks Larry!). HD made a customer for life out of me. To me, a good vendor is not only one that has what you want at a price you want, but also takes care of you when something goes wrong - I haven't seen many places with the product line/price/service combination that they have. Can't wait to see those G5's in stock. Gonna definitely snag a couple of the Outrage batteries too when they are back.
Not trying to turn this into an HD love-fest (though it appears that way anyway :noteworthy) but I would recommend you just contact them if you ever have any problems. I am sure they will try to make it right.

Helidirect is the first link in my Bookmarks. I'll go to the HD site before any other when I need something, and most of the time it's the only site I have to go to. The prices are usually right on with what I would pay from the auction site with shipping, and they are only two hours away from me so I get my stuff in a day or two with the cheapest shipping.
I had an issue with a RTF HDX450 I purchased and Greg @ HD made it right and really went beyond anything i've ever seen in an online business. Anyone i've ever dealt with there has been nothing but super when it comes to customer support.
They make ya wanna invite em over for Thanksgiving. Well, I wouldn't go that far, but they just rock! :clappp:thumbup:

I have only placed one order on helidirect.com wich is my first heli too so I bought stuff for over 1000 dollar and the shipping and customer support was great, they even changed the shipping method for free when I had missed to mark the way of shipping I wanted.
But then I noticed that the swash was pretty sloppy so I posted a support ticket for that and they answered the next day and asked after more details of slop and that I might have to send the swash back. so I answered where the slop was more exactly and no answer back. this was acouple of weeks ago and my bird seems to fly pretty good with the slop so I havent bother to try to contact them again. But still they should have made a reply becouse they didnt say that I had to send it in.

Sorry you have some slop in your swashplate. It could be that your email got filtered out for spam mail or it was missed handled. You can always call us or email us back, or PM us here. We can replace it for you.

I have a beef with HeliDirect in the matter that Fusuno are making and selling copies of my bodies to Helidirect and are very much aware of it. In investigating the situation, it seems Fusuno and HD are some kind of sister(Partner) companies to each other. People who are more internet savy than I have unconvered this. It very much appears HD were buying my bodies and getting Fusuno to produce them. So far Heres the list of the bodies that are copies:
Micro AS350
Micro Hughes 500D and E
Mini Hughes 500D and E
Mini Bell Jet Ranger
So Far Ive spoken to Larry and Steve about the situation and at one time was told they would address the issue. Seems like the issue they have addressed is by adding more of the copied bodies. Whats even was worse, they were advertising a fusuno copied body and was using my pictures. What gives? So, now when I call about the infringments I basically get blown off.

Darthdrk...well...I am at a complete loss on this as I have no idea who you are or who your company is that fusuno is copying? I have brought this post up to Steve's attention...I tried to do a search for you company to see what you produce but seem to be coming up with nothing...I am sorry for my ignorance on this...
As for Helidirect and Fusuno being sister companies...this is the first I have heard of this...that does not make it not true...just that I have never heard this before...

Darth,
When you mentioned to us about the problem of Fusuno, we already told you that we would address it with Fusuno and make sure the products from Fusuno is not copied from your product. I already told Fusuno not to make copied products from your products or I cannot sell them. Just same like Align products. There are copter X, ... and tons of aftermarket parts that are making 100% same as Align and I cannot sell it on my website because they are 100% the same, or I would have problem with Align, so I also told them not to copy Align as I cannot sell it. But if they make it differently I would carry them, otherwise others will if I don't.
But you dropped the ball and stopped supplying for us. Now that you left us only one choice to continue to carry Fusuno products. I am still talking to them as I do not want them to copy anybody's products. They have capability to design their own and there is no reason to copy other fuselage. And I told you so but you didn't want to listen. I addressed it by telling you if they are 100% the same, I would not sell them. You don't want to take that as the solution and stopped supplying to us.
If you want to continue to supply to us, we can continue to work with you. I can only do much by telling you that if they are 100% copy, I will not sell two identical products on the same website. That's it. But if they are making things differently, that is not called copy and there is no reason we cannot sell it.

HeliDirect
My website is Http://darthdrk.4t.com. Ive been in the hobby business of making fuselages for over five years. And have been a supplier to HeliDirect. When I sent You(Helidirect) a price list of my bodies it is pretty much stated in a note within the list about the criteria of doing business with companies that, purchase, sell hijacked/copies of my work.
Im going to assume that after we talked about the Hughes 500D and E copies that you were selling and the previous post is that you continued to sell the bodies mabey only because they were painted ? The bodies were and are still copies. I stop supplying the bodies to HD because there stood still a conflict of interest. People were thinking that they were purchasing my fuselages. For 1, I stand behind my products and is very supportive of the same. The conflict is supplying replacement parts/kits to individuals who inadvertantly bought something that they thought was my product. Looking at the Fusuno products, they all seem to be copies of someone elses work . If they have the ability to make their own why have the casted moulds from my products and others ? Really my concern is my intellectual property. My moulds are hand made and have distinct characteristics which I wonder how Fusuno bodies could have the exact same distinct characteristics if they made the bodies from moulds they made themselves(and not by casting it from others). I stopped supplying fuselages because it was appearent you had no intentions on doing anything about the said copied bodies which I gave plenty of time for you to respond. now, it still seems that not only you have not still responded but you have added to the list of bodies that are copies. I was still waiting for the issue to still be addressed. My intentions were not to stop supplying the bodies but there was just to much conflict of interest. Im still getting emails from people who thought they were buying my products. Its always been your move. There are posts on several forums which shows and prove that this is the case. If you need pictures of my molds to prove my complaints, I will be more than happy to supply them. An Artist knows his work and when something is real of his or a copy. I was trying to get away from becomming a retailer but if people arent sure that they are getting the real thing all I can tell them is buy directly from me to be sure.

As far as ordering from HD I havent in while since this issue but before this issue most of my ordering was from HD and the service was pretty good. Thats what makes this so perplexing.

Sound more like something you should call them about than to post in a thread about a topic other than what your dealing with. The fact is you have had good customer service and should handle your situation with a phone call since it doesn't involve any of us or anything to do with this thread. Hope you come to a satisfying resolution to your dilemma.:cheers

Darth..... Don't twist things around. To be honest it sounds more like you didn't market your product right and thus are now upset trying to play the blame game instead of accepting that responsibility. The fact is you are posting this kind of rubbish to try and slander a company that you don't agree with. This matter needs to be settled behind closed doors and NOT in a forum. No one wants to sit and read about this BS! So please stop flying your keyboard and go fly your helicopter.

Me twist things around ? All you have to do is read the topic of this thread. noone is making anyone read this. There is alot of threads I choose not to read so, If you feel the need not to read it, dont. But, I do feel I have a right to participate in the forum just as well as anyone else. Nothing is getting twisted. Everything I have said speaks for itself. I havent made anything up, just pointed out facts. BTW what is it you see as a twist that Im failing to see ?
