Replacement 500 canopy.

Hi all

After smashing my Rex 500 on Saturday morning on just its 2nd test fight I am now in urgent need of a Yellow replacement canopy.

The other £80 worth of spares I`ve managed to find but this I can`t seem to find anywhere.

Anyone seen one in stock anywhere?

I`m in the UK but thats probably not a problem.

Hi Malc,

I would just fix it with some epoxy and fiber glass sheets, then make one with epoxy :D

Thats an idea - but on a brand new heli flown twice can`t really do it.

It is smashed on the top,bottom, front and side as well.
Thats a lot of unsighty repair work I think.

same problem we have with evey new Heli ,,, were do we get parts ,, takes a month and every shop will have them

Off topic a little but do infinty sell world wide ? Also what currency is their prices in ?
I was looking at their site and couldn't find that information .

they're taiwan based. prices are u.s. currency. i mainly use them for my mini-titan parts. they're prices are tons cheaper than any u.s. shop so if you spend enough if negates the $20.00 shipping.

Superb company to deal with.
I`m over in the UK and they are my main supplier of parts.

By the way I am still waiting for all the replacement parts and blades to be delivered but I`ve now got a brand new yellow canopy here waiting to go back on the heli.

yes it does with a bit of mod i just put a gaui canopy on my trex 500 and it looks sleek ;)

Post some pics if you can as it will be a cheap alternative if it does fit nicely. Another one that might fit would be a HDX500 fibreglass canopy, so anyone here tried it yet.

Whoa, that looks sweet and more sleek than the stock canopy! I wonder if Align is going to re-do the canopy a bit since it's too tight and needs trimming.

I'm lurking...since this might be on my NEXT list! ;)

Looks pretty cool. Question. I do not have a 500, but I seen other posts where people had difficulty with the stock canopy and fitting it with their batteries. How does this one do? Is it tight or does this also resolve that issue?

I have also modified a guia H550 canopy. It does fit my TP3300s just fine. Its got a crappy paint job right now but that will change soon!
