View Full Version : GV-1 Connections to Receiver?

I have a 9CAP Super with a FAAST module and 7-channel receiver (3 channels for cyclic/collective, 1 for GY-611/tail rotor servo, 1 for GV-1/throttle servo, 1 for Align 2 in 1/battery). That leaves one slot left on my receiver. The GV-1 has 2 additional leads (on/off and rpm). The GY611 has one additional lead (remote gain). I plan to use the last slot in my receiver for the GY611 remote gain.

That means I can't use either of the transmitter-controlled functions for the GV-1. The GV-1 will turn on when my throttle goes 15% above the "zero" position. What's gonna happen, though, when I'm in Idle Up 1 (throttle is a "V" curve), I'm inverted, and I pull the throttle stick all the way back? At that point, I will have full negative pitch and 100% throttle. Will the GV-1 shut off because the physical position of the throttle stick is at the "zero" position?

You will only have one speed available from the GV1.
What you do is set the limits for the GV1 in the Normal throttle curve program.
Then in the Idle up programs you set the lowest point of the throttle curve at least 25%.
What I suggest is to go ahead and make the throttle curve in Idle up a V curve. With the lowest point set to about 90-100%. And then the mid point about 50% with the highest point 100%.
That way if the GV1 happens to quit operating when your in idle up and inverted. The throttle curve will then take over and you would know the GV1 is not operating.

The GV1 turns off and on to the low point limit that was set when you set the limits. It works off low throttle curve point position, not really stick position.

The ON/OFF lead from the GV1 is the one that will need to be plugged into the remaining AUX slot on the receiver.
