I took my new (to me) Raptor 50 out to fly today.:) It spooled up and about time to lift off it went to the left blades hit the ground and the dance of death started. :bawl It's so thrashed. as my wife Cried (literally) I picked up the pieces. $100 later and I'm repairing parts. I need someone with experience in the area to help me Get her off the ground. Someone please help!:arggg:

Just an idea on what happened. Do you have your aileron servo reversed? also, check the AMA web site for a club in your area.

I am at work so i can't check my radio now. i'll check that tomarrow. i'm still repairing. I was hopeing to have it in the air again by saturday. Aparently, i purchased a tail boom for a Titan and not the belt for a Titan. I have everything else for the repai at home now. I would like to come up to that area sometime. PM me with an address to the flying field and or a Phone number. I Hovered my Trex 450 all 3 batteries shortly after i crashed so i know it's something in the set up on the R50.

Here is some information on our flying fields:
Mid-Virginia Radio Control Club Flying Fields (http://midvarc.com/about/flying-sites/)
We usualy fly on Sundays (and sometimes on Saturdays) when the weather permits at one field or the other. If you want to come up this way PM either Dan (DebianDog) or myself and we can try to set up a date for you to come.

If it was an electric Trex 450 or 600 I could help but for now I don't do nitro. I'll bet you could find someone to help at the flying field right next to Debbie's RC World. I believe you will find many helis both Saturday and Sundays. Have you ever been their? If not it's located at 1828 South Military Highway Chesapeake, VA 23320 , just around the corner from Norfolk.

Curious... do you have a simulator? If not, they are HIGHLY recommended (check where I live, I fly with no instructors).
Was it a fast roll to the left? All model helis will drift to the left one takeoff, its caused by the tail rotor, you compensate with a touch of right cyclic on takeoff. It may be mechanically sound, and the skids just caught the ground as you came up and it drifted left. Just a thought anyhow.
P.S. my daughter cried when I crashed my first plank, so tell your wife not to feel bad, a helicopter is a much bigger loss. :P

Come to Fentress airfield in Virginia Beach on any Saturday or Sunday, weather permitting, there are many hard core heli fliers there that can help you.

Come to Debbie's R/C world on Military Highway between Battlefield and Greenbrier. They have all the parts you need and there's almost always some one flying heli's there, even on weekday afternoons. On weekends, there's frequently as many as 15 heli pilots there if the weather is nice. All will be glad to help out in getting your heli flying.

Hey I live in Norfolk and i have a Raptor 50 Titan, TREX 450SE and a few other planes... So yes i can help if you still need it. I see this thread was started in January but you could still be stopping back for replies... Well just like the other guys were talking about you can always go to Debbies RC World or you can get a hold of me and we can go somewhere and test it out if you like... Let me know
