Nobody has an opinion on this controller?

OK it's an Actro controller, any opinions or expreience?
For the price of that ESC, I would get a PowerJazz or save some dough and get a Jazz 55-10-32. I see that you have a 55-10-32 already, so you know they just plain work and work well.
What I know of the Actronic ESCs is based only on the experience of others that I have flown with. Finicky is the word that comes to mind.

John,
I have not had good luck with the Kontronik or Castle controllers for their various faults. Generally the CCs have been the most consistant but prone to failure, something CC is addressing. The Power Jazz has a great governor and is robust, but does not deal well with large temperature changes. This is seen by different headspeeds on different flights, kinda blows the setup. The 55 with heatsinks thermals. I fly in 45 to 105 degree weather, which the CC handles consitanly with different batteries and temperatures. The PJ won't hold headspeed flight to flight even with the same battery and charge.
I have 2 PJs and 5 CCs, had a Jazz 55.
If there is a durable controller with a good governor I'm game.

What do you mean by the "does not deal well with large temperature changes"?
I agree, I do not like Kontronik's governor implementation which is based on the initial battery voltage. I wish they would just make it like "everyone else" with a simple throttle pulse width to RPM correlation.
How about the Schulze 32.55k? Had one on my e-Avant pulling 100 A peaks on 10S. Did just fine until it thermaled with heavy 8000 mAh packs on a 100 deg F day. With my preferred 5300 packs, it never missed a beat.

Battery voltage changes with temp changes.

So the Shulze is a good alternative with a good governor?
How about the Shulze 32.80K?
> How about the Shulze 32.80K?
Don't know much about it but if it is simply a "bigger" version of the 32.55k then it should be pretty darn good. The governor is ok on the 32.55k. Not as good as Kontronik, but much better than most.

After talking to some folks and reading I'm going to try a Schulze 32-80. Thanks for the input.
The Schulze ESCs will give you the same headspeed everytime and have a very smooth spool up. And, they have a neat feature I call the "auto zone". If you make the throttle pulse width within a certain small range in throttle hold mode, it will spool up much faster so you can actually bail out of an auto. This is all in the manual.

Do you know if the receiver input on the Schulze will handle 8.4Volts?
John,
I have no idea. Sounds like a question for Schulze.

I emailed them and they said it would.
