just get you some 600mm woodies if it is a 50 i would get some fraya plastic tail blades they are 6$ and are great even for 3d your main blades should be about 20$ also dont forget to glue on the plastic roots with epoxy on the wood blades hope this helps

Thanks! You Da Man!!!
Are all wood blades about the same or do you recommend a particular brand/type?

I would say the woodies will be fine till you get to flying around pretty regular then go to some good carbon blades as the performance will be a lot different, BETTER. ;)

MAH 603's are hard to beat on a 50 size heli. :)

MAH603's is what I use. Gohbee has them in stock. If you use a Gohbee Rep's number, you will get an addtional 7% off the price.

Try some SAB 600s if you get a chance. I like V-Blades but they are expensive if you are still crashing allot. Fly the wooddies until you figure out your flying style. that will make selecting a CF blade much easier. Right now, stay cheap until you have your orientation down. That way you won't loosin $100 in blades evertime you crash.

I like the Sabs also. :)

I had some SAB 600's on my Evo 50 before I lost it in the woods and never found it but they flew very good while they lasted for about 10 minutes. They were pretty responsive, autoed good, hovered really nice and looked sweet in the air but the $90 dollar price tag is a little iffy. I dont crash that often but I dont hover so whatever. Heck I dont even fly anymore because I dont even have a helicopter. :(

That sucks, sorry to hear about that loss Chris. :(

Yeah im out of the hobby. :wow2: :( :( :( :( :( Maybe ill come back in a few years when I get a job and get enough money to buy another one. It sucks cuzz I got all this stuff here and no dang heli. Wished I had a foamie but I dont have a charger or anything like that or anything electric related and if i bought all that I would have half of what a new chopper cost. I think ill buy a Fury next if I get up enough money.

Tell us the story. How did you lose it in the woods? That sucks that you couldn't find it.

I had scuffed my TT 600's for the 2nd time in my life on this ROUGH asphalt and it tore the tips up really bad, so bad I had to buy new blades. So later that day I flew some old 550 woodies because I wanted to fly really bad. They flew fine until I was doing some tailslides to low inverted passes (within inches of the grass doing like 50+ mph) and I guess I got too low and put it in. Broke the blades which were crap anyway and bent the flybar and all that crap and screwed up some bearings in the rotor head. Well anyway I had bought a new mainshaft, new hub, new flybar and spindle and stuck all this in there with brand new main grip bearings, lubed the thrust bearings and tail grip bearings and put a new tail hub and CF fin on there and some other stuff I dont remember.

Heres where it gets interesting for all those who wish to skip the introduction:

I take it outside to test it. Fire it up blah blah blah take it out in my front yard which has pine trees to the left and a big open feild to the right where I usually fly at. So I bring it into a hover and kinda float it around to make sure all systems are go (). Everything works fine so I take it up and do some FF then go to FFF ya know, just makeing sure it all works good. Checks out fine so I bring it in and lean it out 2 clicks......... . Take it back up and flip into Idle up 2. Im out banging it around, low flips in the yard, aileron tick tocks like a mad mad trying to blow it up and it took it fine with no bogging of my engine which was very nice but anyway im giving it a workout with these new SAB 600's I got on there and its flying really nice! Did some funnels and hurricanes with no pitcheyness at all with the MA Paddles I had on there. So I take it up to do an upright auto. Bring it on down turn it 180 and land backwords. I think to myself DANG THESE BLADES ARE SWEET because that autoed so good compared to the TT 600's I had been used to prior to this. So I take it up and bang it around some more, death spirals and tailslides stuff like that to really feel these blades. Ok so it flies good im happy!!!!! :glasses2: I climb up to do an inverted auto, right before I hit T-Hold I hit right rudder to do an inverted piro auto and stop about halfway down so I can finish it right with a pushover or rollover whatever I feel like doing and nothing happens when I hit right rudder........... . I say uhh ohh (well actually ohh shit  ) and let go of the stick (let it center) and the tail starts going LEFT about 10000000 times per second. Its going so fast and useing so much power it wont hardly climb up an it stops completely climbing and starts to fall. It just went from noting to WAYYYYYYYYYY too fast for me to count in like a second. WAYYYY faster than what my max Piro rate was set to so I hit T-Hold and try to piroflip it to upright and land it wherever I can without hurting myself or others or whatever and it just wouldnt flip over. MY cyclic servos werent fast enough to keep up with the piro rate it was at so it kinda just leaned off at a weird angle and drifted off sideways into the 100 foot tall pine trees to the left of me and as it was going in I hit T-Cut and the motor died so no chicken dance for the birdies in the trees. I turn my 9c off and start running over to the fence deviding the trees from my yard, I go through it and run out to where I though it went in with no luck at all up until now. Its been almost 2 months as of now with no luck finding it or even the slightest hint of blades or parts or anything related to anything on the heli itself. NOTHING has been found. :bomb:

So thats my story on how I got out of the hobby. :( :arggg:

Sorry for your loss. Maybe a big wind storm will come and blow it out of the tree it's hanging in. One can only hope. :dontknow

Heck its rained like 50 times and we have had lots of wind. Still never found anything. Im 99% sure the 15 year old neighbor kid stole it though. He steals stuff from us all the time and just today were 99% sure he busted the windsheild out of our 96 Dodge Dually pickup truck while I was in town with my Dad.

Chris I wouldn't give up searching for such an expensive machine :( . Whatever you do don't sell your stuff like the 9C

Get yourself a new hobby called "searching for the Sceadu".
