Has anyone mounted a 3400 on the tail. It is a little bit shorter than the 9257 and Align did not put any more of the servo spacers.

I didn't use a spacer there, but I did use one on the elevator servo. I took a TREX 600 carbon servo spacer and enlarged the holes a bit. It works fine.

Standard TREX 500 Servo Nuts on one side and 'Custom Heli Parts' Carbon Servo Plates (JR 3421) on the other. Worked PERFECT!

So far both solutions require a purchase. I will have to check my junk drawer tomorrow and see if I have anything that will work.

I used a couple of the spacers for the Futaba servos not that you space off the mount but to hold the screws ,,, it was a bit tricky mounting all my JR servos ,, DS3421 cyclic and 3400g tail

I just used the metal flat washers and servo nuts in the kit. Had to finagle it a bit but you can eventually get it centered and firmly attached. I also had to file off the rib in between the mounting holes on the top of the servo so I could put the servo flush against the bracket. I put the screws and washers thru the bracket then the servo and nuts on the backside.

Thanks Guys! Those 'Custom Heli Parts' Carbon Servo Plates are key on the 500 for mounting the JR 3421's and JR3400's. I still had to grind a small portion of the gusset on the servo's to get the plates to fit perfectly, but that only took about a minute a servo.

Well, I decided not to fight with it, and swapped for the 9257 off of my 450.

I just ordered some more from them. They're nice pieces. Way nicer than the Align Carbon Servo Plates for the 600.

I just put one screw on each side in opposing corners and centered the servo in the mount. There ends up being plenty of washer on each end to secure in the servo.

Hey Guys, Ive been lurking for about two weeks and just started my first heli build (500 CF).

This is what I came up with using the parts in the kit to mount the 3400g. I used the standoffs that were supposed to be used with the HS-82MG. I shaved off the little bump on the top and used them. I was having problems with the piece that the screws go into wanting to slide off so I put this piece under to help level it out. Please let me know if you see any problems with this.

Thanks for everyones help. It's been a fun build so far with all of the info that is available here.

I'm in the offfice now, but it mounted up just fine. The tabs didnt come close to hitting anything if that is what you are wondering.
