I got my realflight G3.5 sim today and tried using it this evening and what a B****. I bought my first heli about week and half ago(Blade CX2). Just getting where can do basic things with that. Any suggestions for someone new to flight sim on how to learn and what heli is est to learn on. Do I need to import other helis or what? I know only first few hours but just keep crashing. Do you have to trim out each heli? Can someone give me a course of action to learn to fly better. And should I start indoors where is more controlled or outdoors. Hvae not learned to set paramaters yet but sure I will. Sorry for being so long winded but really like this hobby and since have a spinal fusion I have had a problem finding a hobby that my back can keep up with. So, any advice will be accepted.

you are doing the right thing. Keep using the sim as often as you can. I forgot the model name but there is one with a training gear set. This is an easy one.

You will crash very often. Better on the sim than for real.

As for you CX2:

Step one, input throttle just so it becomes light on the skids. Than you can move it arround on the floor. Concentrate on keeping the tail toward you all the time. This will help with orientation.

Then you can lift it up a bit. That help is very stable. If something feels wrong you can let go of the cyclic stick (right in mode 2) and it will recover.

It will take at least 20 battery packs before you feel comfortable. And you will crash it.

Enjoy.

practice, practice, practice !! some people pick it up fast , and some like me ..well it takes a little more effort . and once you calibrate your controller it should be good for all models on the sim.
if your still experiencing drift you can change the wind settings etc..
and if I'm not mistaken the g3.5 has you blade cx2 on it as well :)
