Sorry to ask this guys, but is the TP 1010 charger a decent charger to charge my 4900 6s FP packs? I am using the BC6 and want to cut the charge time. Will the 1010 charge my packs at 1c? The BC6 will only do .52 or so.

Yes the TP 1010c will work great with a t-210 balancer

Nice.
I already have the Flight power balancer, so I'm assuming I can use that as it connects through the bullet plugs then to the battery. It has the balance leads out of the balancer unit.
So the 1010 will charge the packs in about an hour? The BC6 takes over 2 at the moment.
Sorry to keep asking but I'm hoping that this charger will last me a while :)

The good thing about using the 210V with the 1010C is they talk to each other. You can get actual cell by cell voltge readouts on the 1010C display.
Another choice, the new 610C, does up to 6S packs and has built in balancing. Nice price also.

Thanks guys.
I will be getting the 1010 as it gives me room to move on batteries.
Just one more Q:
10Ah up to 5 cells........ THis is stated in the add on ReadyHeli.com
Does that mean that it will charge at 10Ah up to 5 cells then drop?

BC6 is a 50W charger. W=V*A, for 6S V=25.2 the maximum charge current
A=50(W)/25(V) =2A, you will need around 2.5 hour to fully charge the 4900 6S pack.
TP1010 is 200W, the maximum current A=200/25=8, so you can charge at 8A if the pack is capable of charging at 2C and the time will be 60/1.6=37.5minutes.

Very nice. So at 1c it should take just over an hour. I can deal with that!

The effect of increasing charge C is not lineaer, because you nly charge at that rate during the constant current pahse, the constant voltage phase take the same amount of time, no matter what C you use (actually it take a bit longer since it runs CV until the charge rate gets down to the same amperage as the lower C charging).

Definite yes, it can actually charge your 4900mAH pack at up to 8A, i.e. 1.6C if your pack support 2C charging.
