I just saw this also on the TP site. It looks pretty slick for someone wanting to go from a small charger (I currently have a Triton for my Trex 450 3s packs) to one that can handle 6s (I'm getting a Trex 500 so I'd like to be able to charge 6s batteries). The built in balancer and the price are very attractive. Anybody tried this one yet?

The spec says that it can only pull 80 Watts total. That would mean only charging at 3.3A for 6S if I'm reading that correctly.

Yeah, I agree that is weak. It's going to be interesting to see how these stand up to one another. It compares fairly well to the BC6 on paper if you already have a PS.

No problem for my 6S 3200 setusp for my Hurricane 550. :)

But that is a problem.

I ws talking to FMA before Xmas, and they are still planning on doing a CellPro 6S. That hopefully will have even power to do 6S 5000 mAH packs at 1C.

The 610C rocks. Just got 2 of them today and it has some very cool features which make this charger perfect for us flying 450 size helis and the new Trex 500 helis. Will work good with Trex 600 bats too just will take 20-30mins longer to charge.

The charger is small, the backlight screen is bright, works similar to the 1010C and now has one of the coolest new features a built in DIGITAL balancer.

Also, belive the charges firmware can be update in the future it has a port similar to the TP1010C.

OK, I'll bite. What's a digital balancer, and what advantages does it have?

The balancer indications are now on the LCD display. When connecting the pack to be charged it displays the cell status very quickly - less then a second which I very much like. Heres some photos showing this. When using 3S size packs they will plug directly into the charger. When using larger packs the breakout box that comes with the charger is used.

Seems real nice :D

Can it charge/balance two 3S packs at the same time as 1010 do ?

Cool "charging lab" that PS is giving 31.1 [A] :O

i just picked up this charger and it seems real nice. but about 25% of the time it tells me i have a cell over charger. so i take it off. then just try to ballence the pack, and nothing hapens. it shows that the pack is ballenced. the ballencer does work though. i had this problem with 2 of my packs.

I saw this charger last weekend in Ontario. Very cool! Very nice looking in person... nice metal body. I put my order in the following Monday.

I have 2 TP1010 chargers and love them! I think this charger will be hot for "field" charging. It's very small and light!

FYI - myrcsuppy.com has a coupon in their coupon section for this charger. Killer price! The chargers are due in at the end of the month!

Can anyone do a video review, like Jermos Cellpro 4S review? That would help with some decision-making i think.

Does anyone know if this charger will charge Li Ion packs? My transmitter pack is Li Ion, not LiPo.

Thanks,

Steve

The TP610C will charge 1 to 6-Cell LiPo and A123 cells, 14 NiCd/MH cells and 6-12V Pb...no Li Ion.

Check out the e-STATION BC6 Dual Power Charger, It will do Li Ion.

Anyone having an issue with this charger overheating? Mine shut off several times today while charging a 2500 6s pack at less than one C. This worries me a little if it's shutting off when it's only 80 degrees outside.

I am looking for a new charger now that I have ordered a T-Rex 500. This one looks good as it will do up to 6S. I don't need anything larger...

Is it possible to charge two 3S packs at the same time or would that require two separate chargers?

Thanks,
Allen

Allen,
I'm pretty sure that you'll need two chargers.

I just got one and have a couple of questions.

1. What does the M mean when the balance screen mode. It is the screen that has the circles and C and M alternate on the screen.

2. When charger shows finished charging, do I need to check and make sure the cells are balance as Finless shows on his video of the 1010 and 210?

3. I am assuming the circles on the balance screen is the same as the lights on the 210.

Thanks
Wmbige

P.S. The bolt that holds the tail rotor grips to the shaft will break, watch your strength.:(

According the the manual (page 6) it reads, "The charge mode settings can be set in any memory (25 memories) or left in previously used charge settings. Memory setting mode can be stored at M1 to M25. The most frequently used charge setting can be stored to a specifically assigned memory slote. In normal mode, previously used charge settings are used.

I got this charge lastnight. Been searching for this answer for a bit, so I finally repicked up this rather unclear manual and found this just now. So I thought I would share. I have the exact same setup as you (Pro-Peak 13.8v Power Supply + TP 610c with Balancer to charge a FlightPower EVO25 2170mAh 3s 11.1V LiPo) I'm not trying to figure out exactly what to set C= too.. before I hook up anything I'm going to find this answer.. only then will I charge this new battery (BTW - first time charger here).

I've run into a bit of a problem. When I attempt to charge an EVO25 (2170mAh, 11.1v, 3s) with the charger set to (3s, and C=2.0A) I get a "[1] VoltageError or wrongpolarity" alert and the batter won't charge. If any has any advice I'd appreciate it. If I find the answer before someone helps me I'll post it here.

Aceman, using the balancer - what are each of the cells in your pack measuring?
