Or is 6EXH still necessary?

The non 2.4GHz 6EXA can not be used with a heli. No CCPM mixing, no gyro etc. Sorry

The biggest drawback for a mechanical mix machine is you dont have pitch and throttle curves so you wont have the collective and throttle mixed automatically, you would be limited to simple linear mixes.

Yes... you can use the 6EXA. Since the MX400 is mechanical mix
it will work just fine. The settings are in the back of your manual.

If you need a manual try Futaba's web site to downlload one.

Ok just reviewed the manual from futaba's site and no it has no ccpm mixing. On a stock 400 it will work but not your ccpm one. Your best bet is to get a dx6 or the 6ex with fasst.

I thought it would work, hence "mechanical" mixing. The only concern I have is about the throttle. If you watch the x400 video, at the end it recommends the 6EXA.

Whoops.........

I misread the transmitter model... I thought he said T6xa but he
said 6exa.

The 6exa won't work.

Sorry,

I believe only the 450 came with ccpm so if thats what ya got and cant use your existing radio you can get a mx400 nonccpm upper frame....I own both the 400 and 450
