Well finally these are out to us Joe Blow publics!!! If you have 8717 servos on cyclic this is the way to go to stepdown your esc line as well as your tail rotor servo to 5.2. Esentially a small bec of sorts, fit real nice to, and I know they work good to! They were just released for sale today.

I see you're stepping down your BLS251 tail servo, but what is the other thing you're using it on? I take it the V-Bar works fine on 8.4V, then?

Use it to step down the voltage going back to your esc line. ESCs do not like over 7 volts on their throttle channel/signal line. This particular Voltage regulator will step down 2 channels of your choice. Yes the Vstabi works 100% on 8.4, it has been tested and proven to be fine up to 9.0 volts as are the 8717s actaully are designed up to 9.0 volts. The tourque on the 8717s @8.4 volts is over 180, and the speed is .045 at 8.4 volts! Yikes and woot!

If you really want to have fun. Run your 8717s at 8.4V and the Hiller set to 30!

Thanks for that. Guess I missed "esc line" in your original post. Time to go work on my reading comprehension skills!
My, folks are up late tonight ;)
Are you running a LiPo up front, then, or is there some BEC that can provide? I really hope the BEC manufacturers are paying attention to this detail. That, and I hope the ESC/tail servo manufacturers would get in gear and eliminate this limitation...

Two words, "allready lost". LOL. I have not had any flying in for so long, not sure I even remember how to start up the Vbar software, I got a "LONG" road of learning ahead of me on that. I was going to try to learn myself all up, but without being able to fly and try I gave up. Besides I think the Germans on the Wiki are getting annoyed with my multiple simplification requests,,,,, I don't understand why it still is not "MUCH" simpler than it is.
If anyone has seen or used the Spartan gyro and seen and used the software it comes with, it is super user freindly and "tells you" what everything does and how to adjust etc..... That is my wish....

There are two other options I use for regulating voltage to the tail servo. One is to use the Emcotec 5.2V regulator wich is similar to a 3 inch servo lead. The other is to use a CC Bec wired to drop voltage coming out of the Vstabi to what ever you want, I use 5.1V(doing this because CC wants to make sure I am doing things they approve of). I have had to drop the volage a little to the PJ, so a diode drop works for that.
I have ordered 2 5203s

5203? I must be missing something or "not in the know". Anyhow yea those options you speak of are good as well of course, I jsut like the simplicity of this is all.

It is if your German.... those guys are smart as hell and prob laugh at us for not understanding the simple terms and settings.
The German setting up a Vbar..... :happyd:YeaBaby:
The rest of us......:arggg::bawl

Can I use the 5203 with my Spektrum RX and a WR 5V/6V 5A BEC? If so, how do I do it?
Thinking on a L500 with separate BEC and without a RX battery.
