Guys,

I'm wanting to use a 601 gyro in a new 90 size helicopter. I'm going to use the new scott gray reactor voltage regulator with a kokam 2s3200ma li po pack.

I understand that the gyro is o.k to use 6 volts on, however does the gyro have its own regulator built in to filter only 4.8 volts to the tail servo as this is the maxium it can have?

I aslo understand that futaba don't recomend that their digital servos like the 9451 to be used with li poly packs - so is it still o.k as the voltage will be regulated?

All voltage is the same weather it comes from NiCad or lipo so there are no worries there so long as you regulate the voltage to the correct amount = 5.1V and no the gyro will not regulate it’s out put voltage. There is no need for 6+ volts 5.1 regulated is like having a fully peaked 4.8V pack for the hole flight so it is very good :glasses2:
