i am finishing my extreme buld and was wondering what size drill bit for the canopy. front and back holes.

I dont use a drill, use a tapered stone bit in a dremel and just go a bit tell your gromig fits like you like.

The drill bits if regular will chip the finish . if you use a plexi or plastic bit is a little better. But the best way is the Dremel and a taperd cutter or stone like Russ said.

I use a 4 step prop reamer. Once I get to the second step in the reamer that is a perfect fit for the grommet.
Also I have used a tapered reamer when I was not at home and had access to the four step reamer.

Both of them work equally well. If the canopy is already painted, a piece of masking tape placed where the hole is going will prevent the paint from chipping.
