hi all,

I would like to start by saying this is a great resource, you guys know it all.

I am brand new into heli flying, I am waiting for my new Titan to arrive, so while I wait I am doing allot of research, so I don’t crash the fist day :)

Please could some of you cleaver ppl help me understand a few things:

1. define, possibly with images, as to what pitch, aileron, cyclic, collective control, etc are
2. step by setup instructions on startup, what to check before I switch on and how to start up slow so my head speed does not go to max etc.

BTW my heli is coming as a RTF and all setup. Here are the spec's

Ready To Fly Combo Included:
1.Titan E325 Kit
2.Titan 40A ESC
3.Titan Brushless Motor
4.MAXWELL MX56 Ball Bearing Servo
5.MAXWELL MX56 Ball Bearing Servo

7.Maxwell MX65 Metal Gear Digital Rudder Servo

Go here, and download and watch the videos: http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=41692

They are in Post #1, which may be at the end if your options are set to newest post first.

Then go over the entire setup of your heli before trying to fly it. Just because it is sold as RTF doesn't mean it is really setup properly.

Also go here: http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=53245 And download this sim and start flying it as soon as your Tx arrives.

You have a LOT to learn.

And you would have been better off coming and asking questions BEFORE ordering, as that setup has some components that you will find you will want to upgrade fairly soon.

thanks a mil, I have already downloaded 90% of the video's, they have shown me alot. I am getting a sim with my order, so I will be learning there first :)

From reading here I see there are a few parts that may not be the best, but this is my first and I think is a good place to start.

FMS will OK to get the basic stick movements, but the physics are not close. The free one listed above is better, and still free. One of the best out there is Phoenix (www.phoenix-sim.com).

Actually the beginner needs the god stuff more than the experienced person, as the less good stuff makes it harder to fly and setup and can become frustrating.
