Thanks to Heliproz the new align badged rotortechs showed up today.
Very nice looking blades, but getting to dark to fly them yet tonight :(
NOTICE: You must use the supplied washers with these blades for proper fitment in the main grips. Four washers are supplied, and you use one on the top and the bottom of each blade. Then they have a perfect fit.
I'll weigh them later, and see if they fly any differently than stock.

I think that is about the only Blade I have not flown yet. Scott Gray seems to like them, he win competitions with them enough ;)

Yeah he does. He could probably still win with plastic blades though :)
I actually prefer the radix on the 600 more than the rotortech, but they didn't match, so I crashed them and got the rotortechs.....
At least thats what I keep telling myself.

You should find 63.9g. It's the weight of mine...in the Super Voyager E 4S kit! White is used instead of yellow. Looks like it's the only difference. You can see it at the end of the Divx video on my blog. http://rotodingo.over-blog.net. (Video 1 du montage du SVE 4S, second article of the home page). At 12'15''.

Received my set of Rotortech 430mms from ReadyHeli today. They look good. I've got the SAB 430mms on my 500 right now and will be trying those first.

those are kind of sexy looking on the 500 and 600

Sexy indeed:smokin:
I did weigh them, and the same weight as rotodingo above.....63.9 grams.
They do feel stiffer than the align blades:lol:. I did get one quick flight on them, and they definitely have more bite than the align. Where the align feel a little mushy when going positive to negative pitch, or vice-versa, the Rotortechs grab and dig in.
I think
I'm gonna stick with them, and use the stockers as backups.

I hope the Rotortechs come with spacers....I either didnt recieve mine with my kit(Never saw big spacers....not something I would miss, unless they are clear) or I did miss them, and threw them out

Yeah got my set too, except with Align lettering on the blades and some Align tracking tape. Mine came with the same exact spacers as my kit too.

Took another look. I guess you have the Align lettering too.

Is the "cool factor" enough to justify an upgrade? :smokin:

I didnt get blades with my kit and I normally fly Radix which are made by the same company so I figured they would fly nice. I have 4 flights on the machine and they are very quick and resposive.

Here are just a few to get you started:
Century (http://www.heli-world.com/detail.aspx?ID=8948) Rotortech (out of stock 2008-01-11, but 300 sets reportedly expected soon)
Heliproz (http://www.heliproz.com/prodinfo.asp?number=350072) Align (in stock at time of posting)
ReadyHeli Align (http://www.readyheli.com/H50072_430mm_Carbon_Blades_p/h50072.htm) and Rotortech (http://www.readyheli.com/CN264301_RotorTech_430mm_CARBON_FIBER_MAIN_BLADES_ p/cn264301.htm)(both out of stock at time of posting)
I've also ordered Funkey 4301c (http://www.lhc-rc.com/acatalog/Helicopter_Blades.html) 430mm CF from the UK. Funkey is apparently the manufacturer of the Rotortech blades for Century. The Funkeys are ~$40 a set, have a different paint scheme but the same shape. I'll let you know how they work out.
I was a little suprised at my SAB 430mms - I need to add tape (~.2g) to get them to balance perfectly using my Rotorpro balancer.

Would they be any good for a n00b, or what would you recommend?
They look so (beep) cool with the yellow canopy :smokin:
Most definitely a MHD (Must Have Device)

Hell yeah:thumbup:
Mine do have align written on them too, you just cant see it in the pictures.
They came with the align tracking tape and 4 washers.
Like mentioned earlier, they look like the same washers that most people got in the kits.
Maybe the kits with no blades have no washers:(
I was going to go down to hobbyhut for some, but earlier in the week they were out.
It does look like 2 pairs are there right now.....
Wont be for long, I'm sure.
Torkboy, if you need washers let me know, I can snail mail my extras to ya.
