I am readying a newly-acquired Honey Bee King V2 for launching and am having an interesting experience with the motor/ESC: the motor runs at low speed even with the left stick on the Esky Tx all the way down. The trim tab is all the way down too.

The ESC is an Otter 35 amp. Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this ... and better yet, what to do about it? I have an option of running this heli from my Futaba 7CHP if that would make a difference, though I admit I don't see why it would.

Try sub-trim, If you have any, and check esc endpoints, if possible.

Is there a way to reverse the throttle channel??? Is it faster when you put the trim/sub-trim back up?

The throttle works in the normal direction. But when it is all the way down there can be some signal. Someone has suggested a faulty pot in the Tx. I will try setting this heli up in my other Tx and see if the problem stops.

check your ESC instructions.........sounds to me like low/high throttle isn't set properly....

usually you need to go to high stick and then plug in the esc, after the confrimation tone you then lower it all the way and set low throttle.....wait for comfirmation tone again....ESC should then be out of program mode and back into standard mode..... you should be good to go....

but again. check you ESC instructions to be sure you set high/low throttle this way with the ESC you are using..

Hey Glen, I also have a HBK2 that had a similar problem,...fried 3 ESC'S before I realized the stock motor was bad. (Got 50 Minutes out of it-5 battery packs). Mine was a little faster (about 40%) with throttle off. Hope this helps.
