Hi folks,
my question is if you really need a governor, most of the guys that I know don't have one but on here everyone seems to use one. So give me some good reasons to get one for my 600N (or not to get one) !?
let's hear it !!

A couple of nice threads inthe 600N section.
You don't NEED one, but it makes life nicer by keeping aconstant headspeed.

Not exactly. But do a quick search in the Trex 600N section for governor.
I just know, mine will have a MultiGov. :)

Mine too. So, when are you getting yours? I have some CDs coming due just before my birthday, so I figured a 600N would be a good birthday present.:YeaBaby:

Perfect time to buy. You have the winter to build and setup. :)

well, i thought i was going to do that with my hurricane. i figured i'll have all of jan, feb, mar, and most of april. NOT. i can't stop looking at that thing, and i sure as hell can't wait until april to fly it. i pray to the weather gods for 40f + temps and little to no wind.
chosen69 - I was thinking of getting the GV1 but Align has one for about $70, lots cheaper.

But unless you're thrashing the air in a way that causes the rpm to change and the throttle curve can't cope with it why bother.

THX, I already ordered the MultiGov just yesterday after havin read some peoples opinion on govs etc. From what I've read you don't need them but they seem to make things a lot easier once you start flying 3D so I thought what the heck, just get one like anyone else does...! :-))
But thx for helpin me out !!!

I'd recomend getting one and installing it during the initial build. If you decide to add it later you'll need to do a lot of disassembly to get it in.
Our 600N uses the Curtis Youngblood ATG. The setup is so easy it's a joke and the ATG can also be used as a rev limiter that'll follow your curves...
