Well I got a couple packs in on the bird today. I'll give you my setup as follows
CC80 speed control
hs-85mg servo's
401 and 9650 on the tail
scorpion 3026-10 motor 980 KV
12 tooth align pinion
94 tooth main gear
90% flat throttle curve on heli fixed endpoints
speed control came down warm and motor was pretty warm too, it passed 5 seconds holding a finger on it but was getting real warm. batts warm to.
tached head speed on 2 3cell 2200mah 12 c batts was 2350 at midstick 90%throttle curve
tached head speed on 2 3 cell 2200 mah 25c batts was 2450 at midstick 90%
1632 grams total weight ready to fly
well onto the graphs
both were 6 minute flights

Nice info.
Graphs really looking good. Only about 16 tot 17 Amps average, that's about 8C load for the batteries.
That's very easy for both batteries as you can see in the voltage line, they both keep their pack voltage above 21V.
You've flown about 1600mAh during each flight. During the last flight you can see the sudden voltage drop at the end, did the undervoltage protection kicked in ?
So motor gets really hot ? What was the outside temperature in degrees celsius ?
Do you know the range of teeth of the align pinions ??
Conclusion is that a 140T maingear is not really necessary... ?
(by the way, how did you make a .jpg of the eagle tree file, I also have the micropower but didn't find ouy yet, thanks )

old packs and when they dump they dump

don't know haven't measured actuasl temp

not really just my opinion though

thankx,
did you got adequate power ? What's the flying weight in grams ?

sounds good then !
... You could weigh the heli first and then the batteries ;-))

1632 that's quite light ! I assume you have not an SE version ?
For the same reason (low weight) I've choosen for the sah version and not the SE.

todays graphs.
No mater what version of this heli you choose it is a consistent heli.
brings smiles to my face everytime I fly it and the size makes it easier to track then a 450 size heli.

that's looking good.
About your used motor : "scorpion 3026-10 motor 980 KV "
Do you have any more info on where to buy and the weight of it.
I'm still thinking of a kontronik kora 15-12 or 15-10, since they're really light (only 150grams) and are powerfull and efficient. also they have a built in fan. Of course this will cost about 150U$ . But is it worth it ....

there's a link to the motor but I would wait as new models in this size range are due in the next month with fans included.
I have no idea about the kora's
I added video link to above post, of one of the grafted flights

Align pinion has module 0.5 (450) 0.7 (600) HDX500 has 0.6. Main gear is OK?

the align pinion for the new trex 500 is a .6 mod pinion so it works like a charm
