Maybe my English is not good. I can not find in the manual OR the transmitter the purpose of those 2 side levers. In the TX MONITOR window they are not shown and it looks like I cant assign anything to them. Can some one show me the light please.

Thank you,

Marc

You have to do it in the "Hold ENT down, power up mode". They're under DeviceSEL
and they're call Aux3 LEV and PitT LEV.

they control the hover pitch and hover throttle, and basically they screw up all the time you spent getting your setup just right.

Disable them, they are a pain in the arse as Wayne said.

Just a quick question to add on.

Ive disabled the left lever that controls the hover pitch, but how do i disable the right hand side lever?

Also, im using a 9XII, so what is the use of those 2 levers since there is already a HOV PIT and HOV THR button/lever on the top control surface?

Thanks

Actually, those PITA sliders are the main reasons I bought the X9303. I use them to control the gain for my AP2000i flight stabilizer. I'll probably wire up the other for a shutter release when I need to shoot photos solo.

I did not think they were enabled by default???

I had them on my Futaba 9C and they messed me up more than once.

They are enabled by default unless a software revision in newer radios has been implemented.

I reassigned the left side on mine so I can turn the spotlight on/off on my scaler... I have the right side disabled. I would never use them for trim, 'cause I accidentally bump them all the time...

Very informative. I never understood all the switches until I read this.

So if I set the Gear Switch to Gear Switch, set that channel to ACT and plug a set of lights into the gear channel, when I toggle the gear switch, the lights will turn on and off. Is that correct? Same with landing gear, etc.

I can also set a mix to the FMOD to activate a channel when I toggle out of norm to ST1....right?

You will need some sort of electronic switch to trigger the light circuit (or another accessory), you can't just plug it into the RX. I used an on-board glow driver I salvaged from a crashed plane.

As for the second question, I believe that is correct (don't have the manual in front of me).

On the X9303 the hover pitch slider IS disabled by default... Aux3 is not.

I use it for my gov on/off on my gasser. I'm still experimenting with where I want it, though. I may move back to a switch, it's pretty easy to forget back there.
