Ok, now this may sound pretty stupid (because it was) but here it goes.

I accidentally plugged my hitec charger into the DX7 and didn’t realize it until about an hour later.:Slap When I did realize it the charger was very hot but the battery was still cold. I just wanted to know if this would have caused any damage to the transmitter or battery. The tx still turns on and when I plugged in the correct charger to the tx the charger indicated that it was charging.

The main reasons I am concerned is because the DX7 has the negative pin in the charging port, and the hitec charger is for NiCd batteries where the DX7 has a NiMH battery.

The NiCD/NiMH is not a problem, they are both trickle chargers.

AFAIK, the DX7 has a diode to protect against doing that, so you should be fine.

Strange, I would have thought the fuse would have gone?!?

The radio is probably using a Polyswitch

don't feel bad. after being out of the hobby for a while, I plugged in my duralite charger with a JR hookup. heard a humm, then a pop. found the right hookup and plugged it in. Works fine :) I love Duralite! guess it had a polyswitch.

3Dman - I'll bet you fried the Hitec charger! I did the same thing and the charger is toast. I really wish they had spent a couple extra cents and not used a one time fuse.
