And one more thing if you now what is the diference between Futaba R607FS reciver and R617FS reciver

Hello,
From what we currently know :
- there is only a software update for US customers at this time, nothing for Europe (no module or sofware update)
- the TM-14 module you would buy from US won't work for an "Europe" zoned 14MZ until you change the region of the transmitter yo US
Oh and for the R617FS receiver, read Futaba FAQ here : http://2.4gigahertz.com/faq/faq-fasst-q926.html
Cheers,
Sam

At a Danish reseller, but I think You can place an order direct at www.robbe.com (http://www.robbe.com)

Well I'm sorry guys but the 607 ISN'T the same as the 617.
A guy tested both recievers and the sequence of controlling the channels has changed significantly. The original sequence was like 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 while the 617 has now a sequence of: 7,6,2,1,3,4,5 (or something like that). What matters for us is that 6,1,2 (pit, ele, ail) are now send close in sequence (minimizing swash dance) and governor signal comes before throttle so that should solve the Revlock, Revmax, multigov issue of not detecting the gain channel and/or jumping up on throttle curve change.
The "component supplier" story may be true but its not the only thing that changed
There is no problem in using a Robbe radio with a ripmax module. I'm doing the same thing. Europe is europe :)
The only thing is that robbe will refuse to repair the module if it goes south but Ripmax will deal with it.

For the FX 40 you need: Umruestsatz FX-40 2,4 GHz (http://de.robbe-online.net/rims_de.storefront/478f4a8b002771f2271b3e0dc1460676/Product/View/1&2DF1959040) (Robbe F1959040)

You should know that there aren't difference among the US softw update and the EU,
the file are identical as in the past for the previous updates.
I have already updated my radio with the latest release and it works as always.
But I'm still not sure if the US module will work on EU transmitters.
I would like to take the risk of buying one because the price in USA is the half of here in EU.
I'm going o order one and I will let you know.

How do you know the new update works on your radio? The program won't show up till a 2.4 ghz module is installed.

To see the part about the 2.4Ghz, as you said, I need the module,
but there are some improvements on the MIX menu and some other minor things
added.
I tested an Europe 12FG FASST yesterday. And as I have a T14 I tried to update for the lastest editor version (Available on Futaba site) to make it work with the TM14 of the 12FG. As the 12FG is for Europe so I think the TM14 may work, but no, I'm not able to activate the TM14 with my T14 succesfully update. So I think there is really a Editor version specialy made for Europe's T14.

The current Software version for the 12FG to use 2.4 ghz is 1.3.
Where did you get the TM-14 module ?
A module from North America will not work in a transmitter region coded for Europe.

There's posts on Runryder where members from the U.K. have bought US modules and then changed the region code on their Tx. They have reported that they work O.K.

Yes I have read of it being done on a 12Z and 14MZ. Have not heard of it being done on 12FG.
Have you seen any reports of it being done on a 12FG?

It's a complet set sold in France 12FG + 2.4Ghz FASST HF modul. So I think it's must be the same as the modul for the T14 as I've never heard of two type of TM14 and the most important is that this TM14 must be coded for Europe as the FG is a Europe one. So what I have done is just update the T14 with the last update released by Futaba (2008-01-08-T14MZ_Ver120) but it won't work.

The software you need for the 12FG to use the 2.4 ghz module and receiver is version 1.3
It is the software update at the bottom of the list for the 12FG in the link posted above. Version 1.2 is not going to work with the 2.4 ghz module.
Troc,
Do you have a 14MZ or 12FG. You mention both radios in one post. The software version for the 14MZ is
1.20 1.38 or 1.21 1.38 Either version will work the 2.4ghz module and receiver for the 14MZ
For the 12FG you need software version 1.3
Look in the information screen in the menu and it tells what version the software is that is loaded in the tranny.
The modules are region coded also. So you need a module that matches the region code on your transmitter. Being in france, your not go all the frequencies in the 2.4 ghz that the rest of the world has. Or some of them will only be used at 10mw output while the rest will be at 100 mw output. There is an instruction manual in the update that you can read that will explain this. It is a Word formatted document.

hi David, I have a T14 with normal modul. And as I have a friend who has the biggest RC shop in France, I also have the 12FG with TM14 modul for trial. Both radio are region coded for France (Europe) So what I have done is just update my T14 to the editor 1.2.0 and plug-in the TM14 of the 12FG. But I can't activate the TM14. When the "mismatched frequency..." message appears, I pushed YES. But when I gp in to the frequency setting windows it said something like unable to change the frequency because of mismathced

Just to clarify.
You have a 12FG with a TM14 Module
You also have a 14MZ with a 35 or 40Mhz FM module
The 14MZ is at Ver 1.20/1.38 but when you plug the TM14 from the 12FG you say that there is a "Mismatched frequency band" message when you first turn on (below)
http://www.markderbyshire.co.uk/MF1.jpg
You select yes and then enter the Frequency screen. Here there should be another message reporting "Mismatched frequency band" with a Yes button below?? Is this button displayed? (below)

Hi, Flycop 2000,
I'm interested in reading this posts but am unable to locate.
It would be appreciated if you could put the link for this?

The YES button is not there. And I found another problem: when I plug back my 41MHz Modul in with the updated Editor (1.2.0) and Encoder, the transmiter is hang out, unable to go further than the screen that demand the confirmation to transmit (the second window when TX is turned on). When I switched back to 1.1.0 editor with 1.37 encoder it works like before. Strange think happened.
