Had the blade 400 for a few days now and was tweeking it for my girlfriend in a hover when all of a sudden it jerked - rolled to the right and back so fast i had almost no time to react, Landed and started looking things over, Thought maybe a link may have came loose or something but everything looked fine. Went back to hovering no problems intell saturday it did it again and crashed about 3 foot off of the ground. Only damage was the plastic coating on the main blades. Took it in side and started moving the servos around with the remote (in throttle hold) and all of a sudden heard a "twitch" keep it up and shure enough the Aileron servo was twitching from where ever i had it back to center then back to where i had it in the blink of a eye. Thought what the @#$% is going on here? Started doing some checking around and found other people having this problem but maybe with another servo. So watch out it will bring your heli down like a (broke jack) if your not high enough:arggg: to recover. Calling Horizon hobby monday!!

Instead of HS56 get the Hitec HS65MG metal gear servo, fast, lots of torque, nearly bulletproof. They go for about $35 each, they also come in digital form (HS5065MG) for about $10 more each. The digitals are brand new so you may have problems finding any of those. You can find Hitec Servos just about anywhere.

Where did you see others having the same issue? I don't recall seeing anything like that on this forum.

i dad that same issue i re did the rotor system from servos up and it went away not sure what i did but i guess it worked i noticed that the flybar connecting rods contacted the blade grips when in full throw of cyclic may be thats why

I've lost two servos on my Blade 400, both from dumb thumb rapid deceleration training. Never experienced any twitching problems with the servos, or any real manufacturing or design faults.
I've got 43 packs thru the bird (about 4 1/2 hours of flight), and three sessions of dumb thumb rapid deceleration training. So far I've learned as long as I don't crash it, it doesn't break, and I try to keep the tail feathers out of the rocks when landing!

Found the problem with the twitching servos! Doing some testing found its in the radio in the d/r expo settings, Was running 80% on d/r and 20% on expo, Changed the d/r to 90% and the twitching stoped, but moved them back to 80% and it came back on every servo set to 80%. Is that not strange or what? Have a call in to tech support to see if they can help.:arggg:
