Ok..I had one of those came out of a bad back flip sideways and thought I was banking left but was really banking right and bounced off of my roof crashes. Typical parts needed replacing. I also lost a tooth off the big output gear which I replaced. I went to fly again and it was acting real odd, banking and pitching up and down. It turns out that when I give the slightest amount of aileron, the servo I fixed will traverse the link about 1/8", stop and then act normal for any more stick movement in that direction. Moving the stick slightly in the other direction will cause it to travel back, and then stop, then act normal for any more movement, (kind of like you get from the tail in HH mode when you give it a tiny bit of rudder).

Any ideas what might be wrong here?
Thanks,
Eric

You replace the whole gear set or just the one gear in the servo?
I always suggest change the whole gear set, if it damages one gear, it has most likely damaged the other ones. Only exception might be the metal geared ones that have mixture of metal and plastic gears. Then replace all the plastic gears if one is broken.

Well...I only replaced the broken main gear, but you're right. I should have done the whole set. The main gear is tied to the pot and that controls the movement of the servo. It's almost as if the main gear is not holding the keyed pot shaft tight enough.

There is a chance that you got some grease in the pot. This will act like chatter when you use the servo. Try cleaning with an aerosol designed to clean electronics. This help bring one of my servos back to life.
