There are some major differences some of which you will find important. First the good news. There is no difference in the software except that in the version you have "aircraft" is the default model type. This is no big deal.
The aircraft version has the three position switch and the gear switch reversed. This switch is labeled "flap" on the aircraft version and is the switch you will use for your flight mode (idle up) switch. You will find this switch position inconvenient. In addition some other switch nomenclature is different such as the hover throttle and pitch switches are labeled flap and aux 2 in your version.
The throttle ratchet can be removed. Remove the back and remove the throttle tension spring. Flip the spring so that the "vee" is facing up and replace the spring.

Actually I think that in a bag you will find the smooth spring to remove the ratchet.
But because of the switch positions, I would see if you can return it for the Heli version.

Bob/Terry,
Thanks for the reply, I am trying to see if I can change the tx to the heli version, I guess the labelling is not so much an issue, and I dont want to open the case until i find if I can change it or not. If not i wonder if I can change the switch positions.

Probably, with work, and possibly voiding your warranty.
