Can I land my heli & plug in my laptop to make a change while everything's still powered up? Or do I need to disconnect the main power and turn off the Rx when plugging in the USB cable? Would save the hassle of going back to the pits everytime to make a change.

You can do either. I usually unplug the ESC and connect a 4 cell NiMh rx pack to power the avionics while I'm fiddling - then I don't have to worry about the thing trying to take off in the boot of my car if I make a mistake.

No extra gear to the field :tongue
