After roughly 10 hours of research on chargers, I finaly placed an order. The Cellpro 10s really sounds like a winner. I went back and forth between the BC6, BC8, or two cellpro 4s'. I decided I want to future proof myself. Now I can only hope that I get in on the first batch at the end of this month. Too bad it will only be charging batteries for my CX2, haha. I am planning on building a Trex 450 in the near future and this is the first step in getting some "real" equipment.

Awesome, I'll be getting one too. Any word on the EDA yet?

They have 500 coming in at the end of the month. I'm on backorder, if I don't get in on this shipment I have no idea when I'll be getting mine.

When I ordered, it said mid-January, and now says late. Darn.

I'd be really surprised if they had 500 pre-orders for them, but who knows.

I got my order in at the end of December. I should recieve mine in the first batch. It looks like a real nice charger. I will have my two Cellpro4s chargers and the new 10s.

It should be a good flying season. LOL

Agreed! I'm sorely tempted to sell my two 4s chargers and buy a second 10s. The downside is...

Here is a sneak peak at the 10S and viewer software. These are both beta versions. All is coming together well and adding some final touches to the firmware. Sorry, the blue anodized case is not available.:YeaBaby:

Thanks for the progress report!

The blue anodized version would only look good with a new blue front sticker ;)

That bar across the two sets of banana connectors looks quite odd...

It is one of the safety features of the charger. If you are charging a pack or packs with just the node connector, this plate must be installed. This is to prevent someone from connecting the discharge leads once the charge has been started. When you charge at a higher rate (above 5 amps), the node connector and discharge leads will both be connected. We have tried to cover all the bases to prevent a customer from inadvertently blowing up their charger by doing something they were not suppose to do.

I'm anxiously awaiting mine- I ordered it as soon as I got the email announcing preorders. Do you have any update on shipping date for the 10s? Also are the adapters for other brands of 5+ cell packs going to be available at the same time? I'm stoked to be able to charge these Trex 600 packs without calling friends to use their chargers ;-)

Thanks for the update!

They are still due in at the end of the month. I do not have a scheduled delivery for the adapters as of yet but was told that it will not take long to get them in. I think the charger is very user friendly and you will be amazed at the new features and accuracy.

Any news on the status of the 10s? It seems pretty close to late January :-)

I was just at their website having had the same thought...

While the new power supplies have a ship date (February 8), the Cellpro 10s hasn't changed from "late January". Here's hoping!

I called to check the status. Was told It's looking more like the 1st or 2nd week in Feb. Not sure if I can wait this long. Got a new 450 that needs some air time.:arggg:

I called this morning as well to check the status and they said they're hoping to make Mid-February for delivery. I just noticed that they changed the date on their site as well. I'm torn now, wait and hope that they make this new date (original was early Jan iirc) or just go buy a TP 1010 and be done with it, decisions...

We are very sorry for the delay. The chargers are scheduled to ship to us early next week. We are still waiting on the LCD display which has taken longer then expected. To speed things up, we are having the LCD's drop shipped to us so we can perform the final assembly, programming, and testing in house. We will keep you posted on the progress. I am blown away with the accuracy of this charger. With know bad packs, it still has balanced to .001. And with a pack totally balanced, there is no hiding a bad cell, the internal resistance reading lets you know. I think you will be extremely happy with it.

I can't wait to get it, I just hope it gets here soon. Thanks for the update.

I'm really looking forward to this charger as well, Gonna need that 5S adapter with the changer though so I can charge my 5S FlightPowers :D

Big debate is sell my dual 4S CellPros or keep them, think I will sell them after I get the new one

My big debate is selling my two 4s and using that to partially fund a SECOND 10s ;)

Looking forward to using the internal resistance reading to determine cell condition and remaining life.

Interesting. The screenshot says 'power to pack(s)'. Do the two packs get the same current all the time? I would think that they can be at different stage of the charging.

Edit: or have different capacities.

From what I have heard from FMA, the packs can be different capacities and/or different states of charge. But the charges have to be started together.

So if you are charging one pack and want to add a second pack, you have to stop the charge on the first one, and they re-start with both packs.

For up to 2 x 4S, IMO, 2 x CellPros 4S are more versatile and cheaper

From what I have heard from FMA, the packs can be different capacities and/or different states of charge. But the charges have to be started together.

Can the charge current, in any point of time, differ between the two pack by more than the max bleeding current of the internal balancer? (which is probably small, around 100-200ma).

For example, can it charge one (low capacity) battery by 1A and at the same time charge a second (high capacity battery) by 2.5A?

The screenshot suggest that it can't since there is only one current reading, common for the two batteries.

Don't know, but FMA stated that it will charge two separate packs, which would imply that the two are charged as needed.
