I was out enjoying a nice flight in front of my house with my blade CX2 just a few minutes ago. I was about forty feet high and thought I felt a very small glitch. Everything was fine, so I went up another ten feet. As I'm watching it glide through the air it looked so peaceful. Then the blades stopped turning; It lost all power. I just stood there and watched it fall. It made a wonderfull splat sound when it met the earth. It looked so pretty with all the blue glitter surrounding it from the new police body I bought for it earlier this week. Damage report isn't terrible but, it isn't good. Main shaft, blades, lower head, landing gear, and body were lucky enough to take the brunt of the force. The battery was slightly deformed in the crash and I will dispose of it. I'm not sure if I will fix it. Just thought I'd share. Now I will head over to helidirect.com and look for a small fp or cp heli.

Get a E-Sky Honeybee King V2, great little heli for a beginner. I have seen them go RTF for $150.

Dont feel bad.... Since the weather has been too nasty to fly outside ive been playing with the CX2 inside alot lately. Well last week I took it to work (wide open workshop) and was flying it around. Well one of the support columns jumped right in front of it (at full speed, 15 feet up). Of course 6 people were watching :clappp.
Well its pretty torn up including one of the motors.
Its now a "parts heli" and I bought another one over the weekend (thanks ready heli).

LOL oh man, you took your CX up to 40 feet high? You have nads man....I've never had mine over 20...the slightest wind takes it all over the place. And after I read a post last year about a guy that took his up over his house and a gust of wind carried it away and he never saw it again.......I stay low!

You'll love the HBFP - i HAVE 4 copters it was the cheapest and funnest to fly, it takes a beating and when something does break its really cheap to fix.

About a month ago I had mine up to about 30 feet and a gust took it away, well over 50 feet before it came down. the crazy thing is when it did, it came down skids down and into a soft brush pile and didn't hurt a thing, didn't even catch any branches of nearby trees.

You guys are lucky,
Just yesterday, I wanted one of my best friend to get into heli and had him fly my CX2, after showing and leting him fly on sim FS1. and he fly pretty well so out we goooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
and he was 10 feed off the ground and I told him to hold and I was going to my car to get another battery, and he wanted to see how high this baby goes so he pulled up and I think It was up around 50+ feet and he called for me and when I turned around didn't see the heli and heli was flying about 100 fee away from me I took over the control but lost sig. and lost in DEEP blackberry bush, and took me 1/2 hour on bush wacker and golf club to get it out from it. Luck thanks to blackberry bush only lost body, landing gear, and blades were broken up. LUCKY ME. HE OWES ME ANOTHER HELI, but told him let just buy a CX2 for him and 450 for himself and I will be getting 600 over this WEEKEND~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
