While re-doing my tail setup this morning, I realized my tail control rod seems loose in the link on the tail end. It still doesn't pull out or anything, but I think I need to re-do that whole rod.

I have my servo mounted with the output shaft forward, so the CF tube is a little short for the purpose. I'm not that worried about the ends slipping out of the epoxy, but...

What is the proper part number for this CF tube, the threaded rods, and the links that go on the ends? I think I just need to rebuild it from scratch, ensuring that there's more threads in the links this time.

TIA,
John

Just buy some threaded rod from a hobby shop or an industrial supply shop. You can buy it by the foot pieces. Use JB weld next time and use dental floss around the threaded rod to re enforce the strangth as well as the grab against the inside of the cf rod, this creates a rebar type bond.

Your suggestion makes me wonder if it might be a better idea to use a full-length threaded rod through the CF. Then the CF tube is mostly a bushing for the bracket...

Dang crappy LHSes!

The guide on mine squeaks like the dickens when I cycle the rudder back and forth. I should probably put something on that, but haven't.
