View Full Version : 450 Frame for Military Style Fuselages

Are there any frames that are designed in the back end to allow the angle to travel upwards for an elevated tail for fuselages such as Cobras, Blackhawks, Hueys?

Hey,

I have never seen or come across anything like this in my travels, but I would think it would be relatively easy to make your own from sheet fibreglass or carbon using the originals as templates.
In this case you could use the originals to get the holes in the right places and then modify the rear shape/angles to suit the fuselage.

An idea perhaps.

I looked into an elevated tail for a bit. Just to get the tail to clear the grass around here.

There was a guy named Hubdave (company Heliworkz) he had an elevated tail. Site is gone and have no clue if he is even around the hobby any more:

Well that looks about right. Thanks, I'll take a look.. How is it driven? Longer Belt? Can't seem toget details but does look good.

Really just looks like a joint that uses a longer belt and an extra piece of tail boom.
