TomNot sure you can even order one, but you're correct, you won't get one... at least for now. Patience my friend.
Go to the Avant RC forum (http://www.helifreak.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=&f=65) (where this may get moved anyway) and read a while.

You'd be better off to go to anotherr forum to read about the Aurora, as the Avant forums are constantly edited and posts deleted/users blocked.

hahaha I caught that one! :D

I want to think of the Aurora as an Urban Legend.. You know, like Big Foot. You only hear of people seeing it in person but you don't really believe it is real. Well You certainly don't see an Aurora, and when you do, its a rare spotting. C'mon think about it... There are lots of pics and videos that are supposedly the Aurora and Big Foot. I think I have a good comparison here!!! :D :) ;)

If was approx 2 years from the time that Jason and Todd left MA. They then announced they were going to design there own heli. From the time the first one was flown in public, it was approx 11-12 months till it was released for public sale.

Well I knew about it in December 2005/January 2006. It was suppose to be for sale at the 2006 3DM in the UK.. That was according to Midland Helicopters UK. They had a display of Aurora parts and an Aurora model at the 3DM 2006. They also took orders for the kits then to be picked up at the 3DM. At least from what I read that was to be the case. All that has been deleted from the Midland Helicopters newsletter archives.

A couple of months ago it was advertised at Heliproz, but now it's no where in sight! Was it just a figment of my imagination? Should we call Monster Hunters from the History channel?

Don't worry, Augusto stated (in the forums) that the Aurora will be released this month (Jan. 2008).

The AVRO took 4 years i think

Avro was 4 years development but only 1 month from deposits taken at official launch announcement to delivery of first kit.

Synergy was two years from product announcement but once again only a few months from actual deposits paid to getting kits.

People don’t really have a problem with development time, they do however have problems with being slightly misled with expected delivery of the final product.

Place your Vibe 50 deposits in December, ready for Jan… now Feb….?? They all have delays but at least the Vibe 50 people have a date from placing deposits. Not strung along for two years until now.

Aurora is going to be a Superb 3d Heli and wish everyone luck with it, 2008 is going to be a good year!
