Got one flight on the E-Observer with the Neu Motor 1915/2y/H with 6mm shaft.

Previously had been flying it with the Actro 32-4 and was only getting 12 minutes tops at the most efficient setting according to an Eagle Tree Data Logger.

I did not use the data logger on this flight so I have not optimized the RPM's yet, but running it at 1550 yielded a 12 minute flight (which was all I could stand in the cold....) and still had power to continue flying.

IOW, it's already better than with the Actro.

I'll fly it with this motor for awhile, continue adjusting the RPM's and recording data with the logger.

I can tell it's a little quieter for some reason, maybe an Neu inrunner vs the Actro outrunner....Or just the slightly different gearing for a different KV motor, meaning a different RPM on the motor....

Have gotten a few more flghts on it. So far no heat issues, no bearing problems.

Unfortunately my flying has been limited due to weather. In between testing customers machines when the snowstorms let up, getting a flight on the Tazer, then it rains, more customer machines, more snowstorms, man it's a rough way to make a living.....:)

Frames are being cut, getting the programming for the motor mounts finalized, adding the additional attachment points to the original Observer EB parts.

Once all parts are finalized, then I can begin on the manual.....

Thanks for the pics, Chris. We look forward to getting this thing converted and continuing our work with the Micropilot MP2128 Autopilot system.
