In models such as the hurriciane 550 and the trex 500 where you are running two 3c1p batteries in series, does any one equalize there batteries since they all settle at a slightly different voltage. I have been connecting them in paralell for a few minutes prior to flight and they end up at identical voltages. does any one else do this??

never thought of it. are you experiencing longer flight times?

Nope. Because the charger should charge them all to 4.2 volts per cell, with some drop back after charging, but not enough to worry about. Just keep the depth of discharge under 80% on the pack that takes more mAH to recharge.
I ahve charged them as a 6S1P and flown them and they come out the same as charging 2 x 3S and just flying.

Problem associated with serial connect between two pack is for charging (that cause over charge) and not discharging. What you need to do is to take the lowest voltage cell and multiple that by 6 and calculate your discharge time base on that figure.

Huh?
So if the lowest cell is 3.2 volts, I should fly for 19.6 minutes?
