Updated 4-9-2008! New version or RC Flight Log Runtime for Windows. See Below
OK we now have two free RC flight logs for you all to use and download!
Helifreak user Mearlin has created a "run time" version of a flight log. It's made using FileMaker Pro Advanced(Developer). It's in a runtime solution so no other software is needed, it's self contained.
Thanks Mearlin!
Requirements:
Microsoft Windows PC
NEW UPDATE 4/9/2008
A new version with an installer for Windows users. It includes a readme.txt file on how to import the data from the old version into this version.
Here is the download link:
FREE RC Flight Log RUNTIME for Windows Version 1.2 (22 Megs) (http://video.helifreak.com/?subpath=finless&filename=rcflightlog12_win.zip)
Mearlin has now made RC Flight log runtime for the MAC
Get it here:
FREE RC Flight Log RUNTIME for the Mac (32 Megs) (http://video.helifreak.com/?subpath=finless&filename=rcflightlog_11_Mac.zip)
A different Flight Log
Helifreak user aburl81 (Adan) sent me this cool little flight log and asked that we offer it up free for download! It has a cool user interface so your not having to use MS Access and enter data raw in to tables, and does a bunch of neat stuff for you!
Thanks Adan!
Requirements:
Microsoft Windows PC
Microsoft Office with MS Access
Here is the download link:
FREE RC Flight Log using MS Access (9 Megs) (http://video.helifreak.com/?subpath=finless&filename=rcflightlog.zip)

Yeah, I have MS Access. I'm not getting an error so to say, it's just displaying the title screen and not doing anything after that.

I read that error as meaning you didn't save the file to your hard drive. To me, it sounds like you tried to open the file from the 'Helifreak' site.
If you did save the file to your hard drive and are trying to run it form there. I don't understand the error and I hope someone else can help.

I bet he just opened the ZIP file like a folder then tried to run it. UNZIP all the files to your hard drive!

You are probably correct. I didn't even noticed it was zipped last evening when I downloaded the file.
That was probably part of the error I had when I tried to run it the first time last evening. Thanks for waking me up.

Ah may be shtupid, but ah ain't dat shtupid! :tongue
It's downloaded, unzipped and sitting on my desktop. My Access has no access...:(
Edit... Well, it didn't until I just right clicked and opened properties. There was a little security section that said it was blocked since it wasn't from this (my) computer. After "unblocking" it, it now works.
Nice to see Microstiff is looking out for my safety... I just wish they wouldn't lie in their error messages!
Here's a snap of the properties window with the little warning that it "might" be blocked...

The Database is not digitally signed so you will have to enable macros or the timer event will not trigger. The timer event is what displays the splash screen for a few seconds and then closes and loads the main menu.

That's a pretty cool little flight Log,,,
I'm running Office 2007.
Which by the way Office 2007 is free for anyone who has a
Army Knowledge on line Account,, I think it cost over $500.00 in the store, But we only pay $20.00 for Licensing..
If anyone has a Army knowledge online account would like the Password and logon to Micrsoft Home Use program. Let me know and I 'll send you Word Doc that explains everything.
Office 2007 Corperate $20.00
Visio 2007 $20.00
Share point Web Design $20.00
Basically all of their productivity packages,,, No Operating systems ..

Hi,
I used to use this program (don't really keep a proper log anymore):
http://www.lammers.ca/FlightLog/index.html
It's old, but it can take a lot of information. Things like: amount spent at various stores (the totals are scary) and on what, battary charge history, maintenance schedules, spare parts used etc.
Worth a look.
