I've had two of these things laying around for 3 years. One is used and been a community trainer forever. The other is brand new, never run. 3d has never been in my past with planes and not in the future with helis.

I'm working my way up with the 450 electrics at the moment. Just want to install a scale fuselage and look good just cruising around. Are these worth the effort?

The concept line was a decent helicopter. If you are just planning to fly around nice and easy, the concept will do just fine. If you decide to try some 3D the helicopter will handle that quite well also. The big problem with the concept is parts availability. You have one that was used as a trainer and a new one. If it were me I would build up the new one and scrap the used trainer for parts. Keep an eye out for parts to keep it running. Just stock up on the usuals, main gears, main and feathering shafts, flybars, blade grips and any extra rotor head components you can dig up. Flying it around in a scale fashion should ease up on the parts you are likely to go through.

Thanks, I'm curious, are these new larger styles of Raptors,Concepts,Trex etc have these CNC heads and tails which seem be "the thing" to have on these 450 electrics. The stock heads on my two Concepts seem very sturdy

All the CNC metal components that are popping up on the newer "Pro" versions of the helicopter kits are mainly for bling reasons. If you cannot fly a helicopter at the level that the pros are at, chances are you will never notice a difference between the plastic parts and the metal ones. Most people just want the latest and greatest and most don't need these parts. My caliber5 has a plastic head and tail and flys great. The only real world upshot to all the aluminum goodies is that they don't break as easily in a crash, usually you just need to replace the main gear, mainshaft, feathering shaft and flybar. With an all plastic head the odds are higher that you will be replacing other parts such as, blade grips and mixing levers. I hope this helps.

You know its seems kind of funny. Seems more logical to have the CNC items on training helis as the chances of crashing are nearly 100% but thats the way we all are i guess. Need to keep up with the "Jones's."

Hi, just read your post on the Concept 60. I have one myself, and kind of keeping my eye out for another. Prefer new or "newer", but would consider older also. If you want to talk about moving one or both of yours to move on to a different brand, depending on the price,I might be interested in your concept(s). Thanx for your time.
