OK, I give up with the search. I'm sure I read this on here but I can't find it now. I managed to snap off one of the boom support mounting lugs on my Titan (the ones next to the fuel tank). Any suggestions on the best way to repair this?
It almost warmed up to freezing yesterday, and there my heli sat, when I should have been trying to get a flight in.

You might try "J.B. Weld" for the repair or even a "CY" for plastic.
But I would not think the "CY" would hold up to the bumps and vibration or the "J.B. Weld "
for that matter. I've seen on the "raptortechnique" site a repair to the front skid mount. It was stitched and glued. Reported to hold up well.
Honestlly I haven't been there and haven't done that.
Perhaps the best thing would be to get a new rear bottom frame for the bird.
Around 9 to 10 bucks I believe.

I agree with LAMAR COOLE, it would be best to replace the frames. Unfortunately this is on a 50 size bird right? That means replaceing the entire frame and it will be alot of work. On the bright side its winter time so you needed something to do and you get to repack all the bearings, replace the clunk line and while your at it, dont forget to sand down the sides by the boom so it will clamp better and you wont have to keep tightening up the belt.

Yes well that wouldn't suck quite so bad if I had more than a gallon of fuel through it and hadn't done all that when I built it. Was it G-Force that had that plastic screw set for the Raptors? The mounts are definately under engineered. You can't really use a through bolt since the fuel tank is there, and the standoff is pretty small for the forces it can be expected to take in a crash. I guess if I don't have a sudden brainstorm, I'll have to replace the frames.

One alternative I just thought of, it would be a bit of money but, put a fuselage on it. I have a Raptor 50 in The Funky Air wolf body and there is no room for the boom suports, the boom of the scale body braces it.
Oh, while writing this I just remembered, I think it was G-force that made an aluminum frame stiffener, the boom supports mount to it. but it's about $100.00

just a thought ...you could counter drill from the inside of frame to fit a tapered head allen from the inside so that it wouldn't rub the tank but unfortunately you would still have to split the frames to get it drilled square:arggg:
