Hi,
Does somebody already flying 3D with original E-Flite Blade CP Pro ?
It seems very difficult because gyro is not good.

The gyro sucks, if you can 3D a bone stock CPP then you are a heli god.

A friend got a brand new BCCP. and he let my brother pre fly it for him. It was just taken out of the box and into the air. My brother looped and rolled it. hovered it inverted. Inverted FF. Blade CPP are great little helis!

Hi and thanks for reply.
I tryied first time inverted fly but crashed because the tail did not stay inline and I lost orientation.
Now the heli is ready again after repair and I will try again as soon as possible....

loops and rolls are not 3D, thats aerobatics, 3D is more along the lines of Chaos , piro flips, tic tocs etc. I doubt the best heli pilot in the world can make a stock CPP do a chaos.

3d is anything that a conventional heli cant do. so loops and rolls is not 3d. however. inverted hover. inverted flight is.

I thought the true definition of 3d was basically two manovers in one, such as piro flips, funnels, chaos, etc...
It's possible for 3d with a stock bird, but VERY difficult. But do-able. Just make sure you are high enough to recover.

Basically its anything a fixed pitch heli can't do. YOu can loop, roll and funnel a fixed pitch. Regular funnnels are not 3d. But inverted funnel's are. Tic toc's and flips with inverted climbouts or inverted breaks is considered 3D. Hopfully this gives an idea on whats considered "3D".

The gyro still sucks.

Yeah gyros is not the best. But what do you expect when you are only pays 225 for the whole heli. Put a set of dual tail motors on it. will hold that tail very well.

Heres the bracket the guys at the field use. The two motors last longer too.

the dual tail setup does help, used it myself to good effect. I thought that the DD mod worked even better though, but the cpp never held the tail well enough for 3D until I installed the DD mod and a GY401 along with brushless power.

For super hard 3d i agree. my brother has a CPP woth brushless main and brushless tail. and a 401. This tail holds better then a t-rex with the tail mod, 401, and a 9650. That thing rocks. Makes me want one.

I used the dual motor tail for a long time. I tried the DD but with the EDF motor and the 3x2 prop. I never liked that and I went back to the dual motor for a long time. But lately I wanted to try the DD tail again. This time I used the standard GWS motor and the 4.5 x 3 prop. It was good but the real trick is to replace the E-Flite 3-in-1 with a GWS 2-amp ESC on the tail. With a G-90 gyro and this ESC and DD tail. I can do 300' rolling tail slides and it holds. It has really made the CP a fun machine. Fast backward, rolling tick tocks, funnels, hurricanes, it will do it all.

BTW, I'm also using the E-Flite Park 400 4200Kv inrunner, 11-tooth pinion and a Castle Phoenix 25 on the main rotor. Stock woody blades and six shims per side on the blade grips.

Yeah my brother uses a medusa brushless tail with the 401 gyro. It can't be beat! The dual tail motors is good. but not even close to the consistancy , power, response or holding ablity then the brushless DD medusa/401 tail set up.

I went to the DD tail motor and it seemed to hold better but I am using all stock electronics except the tail motor. No doubt a HH gyro and upgraded main motor will give it a huge boost in performance. I have never flown mine doing anything other than normal flight. I tried going upside down with the DD tail and stock electronics. Lets just say I had a small bill due to readyheli afterwards. :Slap Then again I just started really getting into helis last spring so I am a newb still and I probably an not the most qualified to get the stock blade cpp to do inverted. Especially since I have never gotten any heli to do inverted.
