Hi.
I have this Maxwell setup on my CF Hurri, but are not so impressed over how it fly.
It seems very "nervous" and unstable, even with expo on 40 % (DX7) .
(I can fly my T Rex 450 much more stable).

All linkage are running fine, and are set up as it should, I think.
I am running the servos at 6 volt, might that be the reason ?
If so, could I use the 5,1 volt step down resistor from my tail servo, and use it between the BEC and receiver to slow it down, if it can handle the extra current ?

I am planning to install the servos that came with my radio, Spektrum DS821, and are waiting for some parts from RH -

Have somebody compared this servos in real time ?

( I have searched around for comments about the Maxwell servo on various forums, all i can find says "probably OK")

yes and the ds821 performes way better than the maxwell servoes, but I use the align 6v 3A bec.
this will give the ds821 the speed of 0,15 sec
i'm very happy with this setup and will not change it for a while yet.
and i'm flying mild 3D.
A buddy of mine that have been flying helis for some years now, were somewhat impressed by how well the spektrum servoes performed.(I let him have a go at flying my heli) So i would give the ds 821 a shot.
think you will be pleased by them. just give them 6v for maximum performance and you will be satisfied.

And by the way... if you are going to use a stepdown regulator between the bec and receiver it must be the two way stepdown regulator, cause the other type is for use only on rudderservo or gyro :D
peace m8 and keep that heli whirling ;)

Og Godt Nytt År

Thanks, I will give it a try when my parts show up.
At the moment there are a real -almost- Hurricane outside :-/

I also have the DS821s in the Hurricane.

I am not a hard flyer... but I have a friend who is a great 3D flyer and he flew my heli recently - he flew the hell out of it... and he really liked them.
