Hi all, I am new to all this info and was wondering if there is a difference between a 6s lipo and a 6s1p lipo. I am looking at buying a Trex 600 and am a little confused about the 2 batteries.

The "P" part means Parallel. The "S" part means "Series"
Parallel increases capacity, Series increases voltage.
So, your "6S1P" pack is 6 cells in series. The 1P can effectively be ignored and would be the same as a 6S pack where the 1P is assumed (i.e. no cells in parallel)
A 6S2P is 2 pieces of 6 cells in series - literally 12 cells, but same voltage as 6 cells.
To clarify, if you have a stack of 5000mah cells and a stack of 2500mah cells and wanted to build packs with identical voltage and capacity, you'd grab 6 of the 5000mah cells and solder 'em up:
22.2v 5000mah
You'd have to build two 6 cell packs of the 2500mah cells and then connect them in parallel. Each 6S packs would be 22.2V 2500mah. Connecting them in series increases the capacity of the entire assembly, so you get your 5000mah
Hope this helps
