Hello, I have a Blade CP + and im just learning to fly, ive had it in the air about 10 times and can hover out a full batter pack without much effort, but I find while hovering, ive always got my hands full keeping the tail straight so obviously I need a new gyro because the stock one is garbage, so anyways I was wondering if it would be worth it to invest in the G90. But I only want to do this if it will make a substantial difference. Im also wondering if its even worth trying to learn forward flight on this heli or if i should just bite the bullet and start saving to upgrade to a T-rex 450 or 600. Also is there any other gyro's I should consider that will work with the blade better than the G90? Any suggestions would be apreciated

The G90 should do good for you. I put one on my CPP and it was a lot better than the stock set up.

But, yes, it wouldn't hurt to save up for a 450 or 600. They are much better by leaps and bounds than the CPP.

yah that kina what i was thinking, because the problem im having now is when you give the tail any firm input it gets really twitch even with the gain only up half way. but i think i will order it and then start saving up for a new Tx and then a t-rex. what would you guys recomend, a 450 or a 600?

The G90 is not a good gyro, you will have constant drifting and it will tend to blow out at the wrong times. Futaba GY401 is a good gyro.

The G90 works fine. Easy to install and set up. Will completely change how the cp flies. Make sure you use the channel 5 option to control the gain. The instructions recommend about 50% into the HH to start with, I think closer to 65% is better. Just take it slow. Something you need to understand is that a trex will be very stable in flight compared to a blade cp+, however unless you can fly well, and be able to maintain a heli as simple as a CP+ you will be more than frustrated trying to maintain and fly a trex or equivalent.

i thought about that too, i just went with the 450 though, i mean, its like putting rims on your civic when you can just get a ferrari, but i dont know your budget so i cant really speak for you, but thats what i did and im really happy i made the switch.

My two cents worth. It sounds like you have too much gain and too little rpm. Try this;(1) Turn down part of your gain, (2) Adjust the pitch of your main rotors one full turn less on the adjustable linkage. This will cause you to use more throttle to stay airborn, and in doing so it will increase the speed of the main AND tail rotor giving you more stable flight. Hope this helps!
